La Tania Charity Day 2007
20,000 Euros Raised!
18th April 2007
It looks like we will hit the €20,000 target in aid of Cancer Charities in the UK and France - a massive well done to everyone involved. A great Charity Ball, Charity Day and LdV BBQ, successful sponsored walks, superb bands and beautiful weather, I love this place... You can still donate on-line at www.justgiving.com/latania

Casualties...
In operations of this size there was bound to be some collateral damage this week... Apart from a few arrests, a broken nose in a snowboard "incident", damaged teeth and jaw from a rooftop fall, Dave's usual fall down the pub steps, a few domestics, sleeping in the bar, more nakedness, doing overtime for Charity, a scalping and one knee ligaments damage (including free ride in a sledge off the mountain for only €292) it all passed off really quietly.

The Loze Challenge & Walk from Val Thorens - Inspired by Bill Manson
A massive well done to the nutters who hiked (or skinned) UP to Col de La Loze - that's the top of the 4-man chair - in aid of the La Tania Charity Day. Mel, Tony, Ferg, Steve and Rob Bone (60 years young) plus "Cazy Dutch Guy" Eric Sweens did it 4 times, Ant (2), Kate (1 and a half) and T Wall (1). There was also a sponsored walk (and ski down) from Val Thorens back to La Tania via Les Menuires, Mont de la Chambre, Mottaret, Saulire, 1850 and Chenus. Congratulations to curry powered Sanjhi, Martin, Dan and Collsy - so next time you miss that last lift on a Three Valleys day out, there is an alternative to getting a taxi back....
