Pub Le Ski Lodge La Tania - Summer 2024 Information
Open all day from Thursday 4 July 2024 from 10:30.
Kitchen is open from 12:00 - 14:30 (menu midi €18) and 18:30 - 21:30.
As usual it's all you can eat Moules Frites on Thursdays for €16.90 and the original Alpine Fish n Chips served on Friday evenings for €18.50. Book a table on +33 (0)479 088149 (they often sell out!).
Summer Menu 2024
La Tania Swimming Pool 2024
The heated 28°C #LaTania Swimming Pool is open 14:00 - 19:00 Sunday to Friday until 28 August 2024.
€5 for adults (over 12), €4 for 5-12 year olds and free for under 5s.
Men must wear swimming trunks (aka Speedos / Swimming Costumes / Budgie Smugglers). Boxer Shorts / Swimming Shorts / Board Shorts / Surfies / Boardies are not allowed - no one knows why, they're allowed at Aquamotion!
Free swimming every day in Le Praz lake is allowed from 12:00 - 19:00 until 31 August 2024 (lifeguard on duty). The lake is reserved for fishing from 07:00 to 12:00.
Aquamotion open daily until 01/09/24 and then Wed to Sun until 15/09/24. Adults from €22, kids from €11. www.aquamotioncourchevel.com
Opening Dates Summer 2024...
The Sherpa Supermarket is open every day 08:00 - 13:00 and 15:30 - 19:30.
Tennis is available in Le Praz and bookable via: https://courchevel.simplybook.me/. The La Tania tennis court was supposed to be resurfaced and then converted to a multi-sport pitch - they've put some multi-sport goals up.

The outdoor heated swimming pool expected to open on 7 July 2024.
The season gets going with the Punta Bagna massive motorcycle event from 05 - 07 July.
Pub Le Ski Lodge open through July and August as always with the Moules Frites all you can eat on Thursdays and the original Alpine Fish "n" Chips on Fry-days all Summer long!
Bouc Blanc expected to open Sat 06 July
Le Farçon open for July and August, Bistro Machet open all year.

Summer Activities
La Tania isn’t just about the Winter! Although so much quieter than in Winter, La Tania boasts an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, beach volley ball court, basketball court, boles pitches, downhill mountain bike tracks, table tennis tables and THE most glorious views of the mountains.
In the surrounding area you've got Paragliding (tandem rides or weekly solo courses are available), hiking, Via Ferrata rock climbing, white water rafting, hydro speeding, tubing, mountain scooters & e-biking, fishing, yoga, horse riding, canyoning, quad biking, paint balling, hot air ballooning, off road motorcycling, archery, clay pigeon shooting, roller blading, nerf kamp, bubble football, waterballs, zip lines, paddle boarding, segways and road cycling. There's golf in Courchevel (9 holes next to the Biollay lift) & Méribel Golf Course (full 18 hole course above the Altiport) and wake boarding & water skiing in Annecy or just hang out and sunbathe in the beautiful scenery and fresh air of the mountains.
Aquamotion
Open from Saturday 03 June 2023 for the Summer season, Aquamotion is a magical and innovative place, the largest European aquatic centre located in the mountains! 15,000 square meters of space in the heart of the Alps, a relaxing break combining 4 worlds: Aquatic, Well-being, Sport-health and Fun! The specially designed outdoor area hosts a playground with a mini-golf course, a beach volleyball court, a giant slide, inflatable structures, as well as a solarium with deckchairs.
Advance booking is required for climbing, group activities (aquafitness, aquabike) & swim lanes. Outdoor spaces are still accessible for relaxation and the Aqualudique area is accessible without pre-booking.

Who Opens in Summer?
The following were open for Summer in 2022...
Pub Le Ski Lodge has a Pool table and ice creams plus Happy Hours with cheap drinks and food served all day. Moules & Frites all you can eat on Thursdays and the original Alpine Fish n Chips on Fridays.
La Tania's’s delicatessen usually opens in Summer with excellent pizzas available to takeaway.
Also in La Tania, The Tourist Office, Supermarket, Gift Shop, La Ferme / Les Chanterelles, Bistro Machet and Le Farçon are all usually open plus the Bouc Blanc at the top of the La Tania gondola.
There's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants open in Courchevel and Méribel too, generally the following selection of popular drinking and eating places are usually open in Summer - but opening times do vary...

Summer 2023 Skiing and Snowboarding in Tignes
Tignes
Tignes ski area has up to 750m vertical and 20km of piste available in Summer from 3,456m altitude!
Open from 17 June 2023 until 23 July 2023 with single day Adult tickets €47. Lifts from 06:45 until 12:30. All subject to snow conditions, resource, maintenance, weather etc.
Lifts:
Funicular, Grande Motte cable car, Vanoise & Panoramique chairlifts plus Termignon drag lift.
The ski areas opens early (Funicular opens 06:45) and close at lunchtime - And no, it's not like skiing on ice, although hard and pisted first thing, the snow softens very quickly and is often heavy slush by noon. Catching it at the right time can give great conditions and a foot of fresh in the summer isn't unheard of!
Other Summer Stuff
There's also randomly organised tennis competitions, maybe a dog contest and potato growing challenge (known as EuroSpud), football tournament, fancy dress parties, Summer Ski Jumping and various Fêtes & BBQ's to attend including the big Le Praz and Les Allues Fêtes with spectacular fireworks displays. Plus the Wood Cutters day, the shop clearance day in Méribel, the Tour de France is always nearby (or here) and beach soccer championship in Tignes with Cantona etc.
