Tignes Summer Ski Report
6C at 3500m this morning. No new snow but well grommed spring like conditions softening up by mid morning. A little sketchy at the foot of the piste as you take the short chair back to the cable car.
The Snowpark is in good nick still with some Summer training camps going hard. Snow tonight, freshies tomorrow…..

The Bandit Wins It’s Class
The La Tania connection in the 2008 Round Britain Race won it’s class with a superb final leg, leap frogging rival Silverline and finishing 30th overall, going hard all the way…. Well done lads!
The Bandit wins 3rd leg!!!
From the Race Site: “A crew of Watford based taxi drivers who were considered rank outsiders when they entered the race are now contenders for their class prize in the 2008 Round Britain Race. The performance of skipper Barry Deakin on the opening leg between Portsmouth and Plymouth on Saturday confounded the pundits but this was no fluke. After having to transport their boat overland to Milford Haven when high seas forced the second leg to be abandoned, they repeated the performance on Monday by using navigational tactics.
La Tania in the Round Britain Boat Race (sort of)
What do you do in the Summer? Is an often asked phrase out here… Follow the Watford La Tania connection (plus Phil of Snowbound Transfers is driving the support vehicle) race around the UK in their boat “The Bandit”. Start should be on TV tomorrow, also see The Bandit Website and the race website at www.roundbritainrace.co.uk. Good Luck Lads!!!
Lynton Music Festival – not quite the Isle of Wight….
Keith Allen (Lillys Dad of Vindaloo and Sheriff of Nottingham fame) leads his band Grow Up at the Lynton Music Festival on Saturday. Great mix of bands, drinks, food and atmosphere. And free to get in….
