The New Escapade in a Day - The Challenge Returns

Top Work by Adrian Chaffey on the hardest day skiing ever (until the next one)

New Escapade first completed on 02 Feb 2012 - but this goes way back to 2006...

We started these fun and games back in March 2006 when a late night conversation of is it possible took place... The lift companies idea of discovering all areas of the 3 Valleys in your 6 day holiday was taken to the extreme and completed in a day. The first attempt in 2006 here.

There's been several changes to the "way marker points / tags" that you have to visit over the years (and of course now there's no need to use a patterned hole punch with the hands free lift passes recording your every lift - a print out is available from the S3V lift pass office at La Croisette in 1850 if you have a season pass).

The latest points are highlighted on the piste map and the route is even longer now, some 35 lifts required! La Tania local Adrian Chaffey completed this in Feb 2012, truly going hard and earned his place in the Escapade in a Day Hall of Fame .. Looking like no changes for 2014 (+ some faster lifts!).

So this Winter 2013/2014 - it's all about the skiing, equal this or better it anyone...

PS. You do this entirely at your own risk, act responsibly, take full ownership for your own actions & those with you, respect other people (& the mountain), ride within your limits, always obey the skiers & snowboarder's code, observe all signs, pay attention to all notices & advice from Pisteurs, take special care in beginners areas and slow skiing zones, only ski off piste if fully equipped & knowledgeable, it's not a race (you won't be insured), but above all, take care, don't wreck things for others & don't even think of blaming anyone else if it all goes horribly wrong...

	New Route January 2014
Old Schoolers Mark and Steve did this route in January 2014 in 6 Hours and 53 Minutes - blessed with great weather, superb piste conditions, empty slopes, no queues or lift stoppages and no moguls!
Their new route is a bit of a twist on the previous attempts - good thinking gone on here...
