Hiking For Charity

The Mount Cook Challenge - Hike To The Col de la Loze 4 Times

April 2008

Congratulations to Rob Bone, "Crazy" Eric the Dutchman and The Family Friendly Skiing team of Chris, James and Tony who successfully hiked up and down Col de la Loze 4 times for Charity (that's the highest point you can see from La Tania).

This Charity Challenge was the idea of Kiwi Bill "Bull" "Mad" Manson several years ago and emulates the vertical of Mount Cook in New Zealand.

A tremendous effort and all in aid of La Tania Charity Day. You can donate on-line here

Message from Tony of FFS:
"Big thanks to all that sponsored the Family Friendly team Chris, James and Tony on the Madman Manson challenge. Eventful walk to say the least. We fought it all: rain, snow wind and particularly unhelpful Pisteurs. Hats off to James who came out to do 2 walks but did all 4 'Touching the Void' came to mind as he clawed his cold weary body up the last 10m to the plateau but 'The Boy Done Good'. Not forgetting FFS support walkers Matt & Suz, meals and transport Sarah & Ashley plus Olly and Simon the Sherpas".
