The 2018 Three Valley Piste Maps – further analysis

Finally we’ve got hold of the Les Menuires / St Martin PDF Piste Map and can confirm a few differences from previous years.

The Chat Frère blue piste linking Cretes on the Méribel / St Martin ridge and crossing Pramint to link to Pelozet seems to have disappeared. Leaves more space around the Liberty Ride area with lots of options for gentle off piste riding around here (but don’t get stuck in a flat spot).

Other differences spotted since the original look with the help of Alan Wallis:

Piste Bleue above 1650 has disappeared from the Courchevel piste map (but still present on the 3 valleys map). Looks like on oversight as a bit cluttered here with the new Luge run and Gondola.

Further changes around 1650 are discussed in the original analysis link above plus news on the 2 completely new pistes in Val Thorens:
– The new blue piste named Croix d’Antide hooks under the Peyron chair and down to join the bottom of the long Lory piste running down from over the back of the Thorens Funitel.
– The new Corniche piste linking from the VT Folie Douce area to the Stade for another (easier) route down in the 5pm rush to Aprés Ski.

The new “Easy Way” blue piste linking to Grand Bosses from the top of the Signal chair – this is a track down towards the snow cannon reservoir, a get out for the flat spot if you drop off the back of the Signal Chair.

The Rama piste name has reappeared (from about 5 years ago?), graded blue, from top of Aiguille de Fruit chair – Last year it was the bottom part of Park City red.
