LT Bean Bag Corner – how hot today? But perfect pistes

Refreshment breaks compulsory today in the hot sunshine. Perfect pistes though and fairly quiet slopes… Sunscreen essential and no layers required during the day but still dropping to below zero at resort level overnight keeping the snow in good condition. Who ever said “it’s too cold to go skiing in January?”

Nick Ski Snow Report Sunday 6th Jan 2013

Pistes quiet again and hardly any queues, even at Biollay at 12 noon. Lots of high up cloud which is quite strange considering the high pressure sitting over the area. The pistes are in fabulous condition, even down to Motterat this morning. Photo from top of Piste M looking towards Mt Blanc. Nick www.nickskithreevalleys.co.uk

Fresh Snow today then 6 days of sun, terrace table left out…

Snowing from yesterday evening and the table left out on the Ski Lodge terrace in fine La Tania tradition (if you clear the whole terrace it will stop snowing). Weather may clear later today but certainly from tomorrow we’ve got clear skies and sunshine for several days.

Looks like the usual January High Pressure system is taking control – SUN

Meteo France forecast for La Tania for the next 6 days shows sun, sun, sun. Don’t forget the sun screen…
