Dave Banton RIP

1971 - 2012

Very sad, shocking and devastating news this morning (20/5), to hear that Dave Banton died yesterday. Dave suffered a heart attack while away with his wife Jane in the Lake District. Dave would have been 41 today.

Dave has been part of the La Tania family since 2000/2001 Winter Season when he worked for the Ski Beat Chalet Company, also working that season was his wife to be Jane. That relationship immortalised in the Staff "Workaholics" T-Shirt that year...

A regular visitor to La Tania ever since and always going hard on his snowboard on the mountain or in the bars at Aprés Ski. One of life's good blokes, always a pleasure to have a pint with and hear him moan about Bolton Wanderers, a great father to 3 lovely kids and wonderful husband to Jane and Brother to Vicki & Mike - you'll be greatly missed Dave, RIP.

Funeral

Thursday 31st May at 1pm at Christchurch Walmsley, Egerton, Bolton.

A very emotional day at the funeral - Jane, Vicki, Mike and Kids did really well. Coffin left the church to Mr Brightside - Dave would have been proud.  Donations in lieu of flowers to The Joshua Short Foundation or Community Heartbeat Trust.
