The Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard show kick-starts the winter sports season this October. The must-attend event of the month - the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show, in association with lastminute.com - raises the curtain on this year's winter sports season at Grand Hall, Olympia between 12th and 16th October 2005.
 
The centrepiece of the show will be The Live Action Arena; the UK's largest purpose built slope constructed from over 10 tonnes of real snow. The slope will play host to more talent than ever before with nail biting competitions and daily showcases featuring some of the world's best skiers and boarders, who will be pulling breathtaking tricks and catching some serious air!
 
The hottest home grown and young talent will battle it out in the Orange Aim Series 'Best of British' with the grand final set to be the highlight of Friday's action. At the weekend, The London Ride will be showcasing the world's top ten freestyle skiers. Battling it out for the 2005 title and prize money will be Verbier Ride 2005 Champion Jean-Laurent Ratchel, the recent winner of the Oz X-games Slopestyle, Flo Wieser and the UK's star skier Mikey Wakefield.
 
Beginners are not forgotten with free skiing and snowboard lessons available on the teaching slope. Helpful, professional instructors will be on hand throughout the day to help novices of all ages brush up on their skills before hitting the slopes this winter.
 
As the biggest winter sports show in Europe the Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard show is a one stop shop for all the requirements of the ski season; from the latest in funky fashions to up to the minute equipment using the latest technologies and great offers and information on holidays, all are available to buy under one roof.
 
The style set will be pleased to hear that the new and improved Elegant Resorts VIP Terrace will be serving up champagne long into the evening. The Daily Mail Ski and Snowboard Show this year welcomes the legendary Red Bull Vert Ramp. With the biggest ramp of its kind in the UK, Red Bull have set about bringing skateboarders and bmx-ers back to the vertical discipline through a series of hard fought and high energy battles across the UK.
