Freeform Clothing

Born in the Ski Lodge in La Tania!

THE free skiing clothing label

WIN FREEFORM GEAR - Competition Closed 20 Dec 2004

Winners - Heidi and Shaun congratulations. The answer of course is that a Gazex is the downward facing tube that blasts air causing controlled avalanches to make the ski area safe (and also the local name for the off-piste runs straight down from the Col de la Loze named by Billy, Nic and Mark in around 1995). More on Gazex here

Freeform is a new, independent freeskiing clothing label from the UK. We draw elements from newschool freestyle and freeride skiing, mix it up with modern culture, inject a bit of the leftfield, and the result we call... Freeform. Inspired by the new.

Checkout their website at www.freeformclothing.com

To win a Freeform T simply answer the question:

What or Who or Where is (a) Gazex?

(two possible answers!)

Email your answer to competition@latania.co.uk

No duplicate entries, or duplicates from different mail addresses or spam etc or you're banned from future comps! Winner to be drawn before Christmas - we'll be in touch if you win, there's a girlie fitted T and a mens one up for grabs. Judges decision is final etc etc etc...

More on Freeform...

Freeform Clothing is an independent clothing label from the UK , specifically aimed at the new breed of freestyle and freeride skiers. Now into it's second season, with the new line due for launch Oct 2004, and new website to launch Dec 2004, Freeform produces a range of exclusive clothing designs inspired by Newschool skiing.

Ian and Martin, two of the founders of Freeform, spent the 02-03 season in La Tania working for Snowline, and it was here that they discovered the joys of freeskiing. They thought La Tania life, the mountains of the Savoie and this new freeride culture rocked but they noticed that something was amiss (during a session in the Ski Lodge no doubt); there were no decent clothing labels for the new generation of skiers.

At the end of the season when the snow melted, they pooled their La Tania experiences, design talent and skills as social outcasts to conceive a new concept, a new vision: Freeform Clothing.

Unlike brands that manufacture generic designs for the mass market of skiers, boarders and skaters, Freeform devotes everything to freeskiers alone. Taking skiing imagery, abstracting and distorting it, mixing it up with modern culture and injecting a bit of the leftfield, this label offers something different, something special, and something you simply won't find in any old ski shop.

Quality of clothing and design is key. The materials used are of the highest quality without compromise, and the unique designs gives freeskiers a new identity, setting them apart from the old skiing fraternity. Whether it's the subtlest low-key hoody, to the boldest t-shirt, Freeform is promoting Newschool skiing to the levels it deserves.

Most importantly, Freeform Clothing is about riding. As mentioned the label is rider owned, and also currently backs and supports three pro riders:

Darryl Ball, BUSC Halfpipe Champion 2004 and BUSC Freestyle champion 2003

Simon Gazeley, Verbier Ride Finalist 2004 and Rip Curl World Freeride Championship finalist 2003

Chris Thorne, winning team member of Boss des Bosses 2004, Cham Jam Boss des Bosses 2003, and Zermatt Air & X Champion 2003.
