Shibboleth play one more time!

A farewell bash was held in Watford at the Wellie for The Hamps who are frequent skiers in La Tania and Phil’s best mates who are off to OZ.  Shib rocked the house!  A lot of the guests who have never been to the alps for a band night were in for a treat! Lock in until 5am thanks to Jason and Claire :).

Good luck to Karen, Carl and Kieron.  They will be missed!

Last day of Summer Skiing in Tignes today…

Winter really is on it's way now! Top 500m or so was lovely spring snow.

Bottom section of glacier was interesting – with rivers, rocks and
crevasses….

At least 50 times better than any dry slope or indoor snow place though.

Cheers to Nic and Karen from Le Brasero in Tignes for their expert guiding….

The Big White Wash

Three Vallee Transfer’s first ever journey from Bourg to Aime on HMS 3VT was a complete success!

Jamie and Jenna of Come-ski, Nick and Joey of Nickski, Phil and Andrea of Hucksters and Non-Stop and my mate Neil were chosen as guiney pigs for the maiden voyage on our blow up friend.  The sun shone brightly and the white water was… well it was very white to us novice paddlers!  Both Sarah and Neil’s wife Liz set off along the riverbank on bikes with cameras in hand to record the voyage for all to witness… not entirely sure Liz will ever be able to sit comfortably again?! More soon…..

Tignes Summer Ski Report

6C at 3500m this morning. No new snow but well grommed spring like conditions softening up by mid morning. A little sketchy at the foot of the piste as you take the short chair back to the cable car.
The Snowpark is in good nick still with some Summer training camps going hard. Snow tonight, freshies tomorrow…..
