Snow! Pics from this morning in La Tania & Courchevel
Empty slopes this morning in Courchevel and plenty of fresh snow for those wo’ve made the effort of getting up the mountain. Strong winds and the associated avalanche risk means Saulire is unlikely to open today. The off piste avalanche risk is now at 4 out of 5 (HIGH RISK).
The altiport drag lift is now open expanding the area for beginners and the next scheduled lifts to open (although probably not today due to the conditions) are Aiguille du Fruit and Chenus.
Saulire reporting 51cm of fresh snow bringing the base up to 111cm and further snow showers forecast all day.
Thanks to Nic & Joey and The Freeride Republic for the pics this morning.
Hi, There is a great aerial shot of a snowy La Tania village which I’d love to be able to enlarge – partly for direction instructions to our chalet and also because it’s a lovely shot. Is there anywhere I can do that on the website? Currently it comes up quite small on the home page. Many thanks
Which pic is this? I’ve probably got a higher res one available. Email me at toffa@latania.co.uk
