At a meeting yesterday the Mairie confirmed that the Praz and Grangettes gondolas will be open from 07:45 until 23:30 from 12 December 2020 until 11 April 2021. In an effort to reduce car traffic the number of free ski buses will be increased on the Saint Bon, Le Praz and La Tania routes. A very welcome move after the ridiculous reduction in services last season.
Outside of these dates Praz will open at 08:45. The Jardin Alpin gondola will run from 08:35 to 19:10 throughout the season although if this scheme proves successful then Jardin Alpin may have increases running hours too.
The costs of the scheme is estimated at €1.5m but the environmental and tourism benefits are thought worthwhile.
