Cable Transport for Winter 2021 & Confirmation of an increased frequency of the La Tania Free Ski Shuttle Bus
At a meeting yesterday the Mairie confirmed that the Praz and Grangettes gondolas will be open from 07:45 until 23:30 from 12 December 2020 until 11 April 2021. In an effort to reduce car traffic the number of free ski buses will be increased on the Saint Bon, Le Praz and La Tania routes. A very welcome move after the ridiculous reduction in services last season.
Outside of these dates Praz will open at 08:45. The Jardin Alpin gondola will run from 08:35 to 19:10 throughout the season although if this scheme proves successful then Jardin Alpin may have increases running hours too.
The costs of the scheme is estimated at €1.5m but the environmental and tourism benefits are thought worthwhile.
The proposed pedestrian prices are still to be validated – they will give access only to these “Urban Lifts” but over their entire operating time.
Extensions prices for all types of ski and pedestrian passes for Courchevel & The 3 Valleys:
- €70 per season for Courchevel & 3 Valley Passes
- €30 per season for Pedestrian Passes
Season Passes for seasonal employees and professionals (including registered Ski Instructors) will include access to these Urban Lifts on their extended hours for €30.
The prices of worker passes and residents passes are still awaited. There are rumours of an under age 30 season worker pass being made available – certainly changes seem to be in the offing. Watch this space.
