Yup, just done the Escapade in a Day today and enjoying a well deserved beer.

Started by getting the 08.30 bus to Le Praz to start the Escapade on the La Foret chair at 09.05.

Perfect snow, virtually no queues even on Cime de Caron or the other cable cars. No moguls apart from Mont Vallon, mostly sunny and not too much wind. Completed La Foret to La Foret in 7hrs 19mins just getting back at 16.24 with a minute to spare, so went to the top of the Loze for a wee extra run back to La Tania.

We used the basis of the new route given above with the inclusion of Mont Vallon this year with only a couple of changes. After Masse 2, we went Reberty, Bruyeres 1, Mauntaulever and then Plan De L’Eau. This cuts out the need for Poinners and the 3 Valley Funitel later on to make it flow better. As to timings, we hit Bouchet around 1pm.

A great day out, oh and we did it on Telemark gear!
