Escapade in a Day update #2 (Pass!)

2016ACrouteV2th

Congratulations to Adrian Chaffey who was first to complete the 2012 variance too.

From Adrian
Well, judging by the testosterone in the bar last night there’s a bit of competition around to complete it this year. So massive hangover or not I went out and did it today to finish any more arguments 🙂

My route is just a variation of the route I used in 2012. Total time 7 hours 25 minutes. I reckon on a perfect day you could do it in 7 hours 15 minutes, or 7 hours if you start in Le Praz instead of La Tania. It’s all Blue and Red pistes because I think that’s the responsible thing to do if other people are going to copy it.

I blew 10 minutes or so because the Dent de Burgin stopped, the Peclet had a queue outside the door and I took the wrong blue off the top of Plan de l’Eau which meant I had to walk 100m up the piste to the Boulevard de Cumin. Top of VT and Orelle were both in cloud so poor visibility but hey ho, it’s skiing.

Summary stats: 35 Lifts, 100km skiing, 16,355m vertical.

Confirmation that all 18 points were completed correctly was received from the lift company office today.
