3 Valleys Charity Day Roll of Honour 2013. Message of thanks from Ralph:

The second 3 Valleys Charity Day held on Wednesday was another massive success and was also blessed with great weather.

After worrying about the weather for a week I ended up like several others getting really sunburnt!

Attendance was up on last year and yet again the event was safe secure and everybody participated and contributed in a great way. Thanks to all of you out for supporting this event and at the same time having a wicked time and going Def Con 5!

Currently with monies to come in from other areas the amount taken on the day is 21,000 euros. Thanks to everybody as that’s a fantastic effort.

The volunteers that give up their time and energy to make this event happen only make the event possible. So a massive thank you then to the following..

Chalet Fire in La Tania tonight. No one hurt.

Chalet Hanneke fire tonight in La Tania. We understand it was a chimney fire and the fire brigade were there quickly after calling them. Reinforcements were then sent for and 2 more fire trucks turned up one with a crane so they could get to the roof. Everybody is ok but obviously very shocked and a bit shaken. Firebrigade say they will need to work all night on it as the fire has spread to inside the roof.

Falling on the green run…

Was coming down the side under the gondola – I didn’t fall on the green…. Honest!

And still it snows… 10cm high up

Folyeres 9:10am. Mine.

And still more snow is forecast Mon/Tue down to 1100m

Some rain around Sunday but set to clear later and more snow down to resort level with double snowflakes forecast by Meteo France on Monday and Tuesday for La Tania. Snow / Rain level predicted to be down to as low as 1100m well below resort level. Chance of some sun for Charity Day hopefully too!

Les Trois Tetes helping to sell nearly 90 pairs of Charity day sunnies yesterday

With help from the Watling Street Band and all on the Pub Le Ski Lodge terrace yesterday, we managed to sell 88 pairs of charity day sun glasses at Wednesday apres ski – thanks to everyone that bought a pair!  For anyone wondering – Orange is the biggest seller so far.
