Enough Snow For You?
There is some seriously good quality good snow up there, they still can’t open the Saulire due to avalanche risk 5/5, so they have opened the Praz bubble, excellent tree powder skiing, get out here.

Nick Ski Snow Report, Courchevel opening weekend 8-9th Dec 2012
Just a reminder of 10 days ago and no snow…
The France Meteo Mountain Bulletins show the accumulated snow depths. Below is today’s completely white mountain with snow to the valley floor and also the situation 10 days ago.
(Although to be fair we had a great day skiing Val Thorens on their opening Day on 24/11 skiing above 2300m).
France Meteo also reporting the deepest early snow depths since 1950 and the lowest levels already having received their average snowfall for the whole Winter!
The Courchevel lift company S3V are reporting a snow level of exactly 2 metres high up this morning (and still snowing of course).
La Tania cut off by fallen tree 10:10am, should be clear within the hour.
This just shows how much snow has fallen as the tree has been brought down by the weight of snow not wind. This is on the first corner out of La Tania towards Le Praz. ;Another 25cm plus over night. ;Nick www.nickskithreevalleys.co.uk
Another 15cm over night and still snowing
Wednesday morning.
Snowed all day Wednesday.

Road up to Saboia now cleared of falling tree – how high are those trees?
Doesn’t look that big until you see the size of the La Tania digger…
More snow and still snowing until Sunday… Pics this morning
Huge amounts of snow now, never seen so much snow on the Bouc Blanc terrace before – they normally clear it pretty quick. Then again so do the Ski Lodge, look at their terrace!
France Meteo reporting the second or fourth deepest first week of snow since 1950 (not sure what happened to the third best – or maybe it’s my French!).
