The acommidation was good for the price spacious and clean (remeber to clean the apartment before you check out or you will be charged a cleaning fee).
The hotel did not have a resturant so nearly all our meals wear had at the ski lodge, the menu and quality were exelent, the staff were frendly and helpful some offered advise on the best runs for beginners.
It was ne of the best action holidays I have ever had already looking to book for next season.

Review: This is the third consecutive year we have been with Ski Dazzle and it has been amazingly good each time. My wife and I have been skiing in chalet accommodation for over 25 years now (we met in Zermatt) and we think that Ski Dazzle provides simply the best accommodation that you could hope for. The chalets are light and bright and the care taken with both the food and the accommodation is second to none. Christmas day was brilliant with little presents for all the guests and our daughter’s 21st birthday arrived with Bucks fizz in the morning, special birthday decorations and a cake in the afternoon.
I should mention the food, which was terrific, David is a ‘proper’ chef and the food was very much under his control, even when he wasn’t cooking it. He and Sallyann run their three chalets with the kind of care that you would hope to find in a small chalet company, but very often don’t – take it from someone with 25 years of chalet accommodation
We were lucky with the snow (again) which meant that we could ski from the chalet down to the lift station in the morning and then come back down the red run in the evening almost into the back door.
Will we be booking for next year? I think so. I know that there are a lot of other resorts out there and we have visited most of them in France, Austria, Switzerland and the USA, but the Three Valleys has an awful lot to offer and if you are going to go there, then why would you want to stay with anyone other than Ski Dazzle.

We loved skiing the three valleys with Nick. We were there with my family from 9 till 70 years old and we had all had a perfect week.We were really lucky with 2 days of snow and 5 days with sun and mild temperatures. Snow conditions were beautifull and lifts and pistes not busy at all in the dutch holiday season. I would recommend this chalet to every one.

The chalet is very clean and comfortable, and in a pretty good location, either for skiing back to, or tottering home from the pub. Chalet host G (Geraint, hope I've spelt it right) was absolutely superb: well organized, good company, very helpful, and all the meals were excellent. Top marks also to Ed, who did the ski hosting. He was helpful and patient, but I wouldn't want to feed him for too long! Everyone had a great time, and deserved a pint of Mutzig at the end of it. This was our first time with Ski Beat, but wont be our last. Roll on next year.

Access to the slopes from La Tania is probably the best in the 3 Valleys and I have never been unable to ski back to the chalet door. If you like good friendly company, terrific food (especially for vegetarians), comfortable accommodation, unlimited good quality wine (chosen by the owners) and the most amazing hosts, you just can't get better than this. Nick and Joey are great hosts and always willing to advise as to the best places to go and where to find the best snow. Being an owner run chalet means that they really care about your holiday and their enthusiasm for skiing is boundless. Simply terrific!

Review: This was our third trip to the 3 Valleys and we love La Tania. The Saboia A apartments were brilliant. This was the first time we went self catering and booked independently. We had piste views, ski in and out and even a private sauna! We loved racing back on either the blue Folyeres run or the Green Plan Fontaine run which were both fast and furious! There is so much choice of runs on the Courchevel and La Tania side that we still haven't visited the Meribel, Val Thoren side! We will be back and might check it out then.
The only niggle was, of course, the price of eating out (€5 for a very small portion of fries at restaurant at Verdons station!), but we managed to shop at the Sherpa in La Tania which was well stocked and better value!)and ate in the apartment most of the time and because of the great snow we could ski back for lunch and off again for the afternoon over to Courchevel!!!
We prebooked Eurostar and got a bus from Moutiers which only took half an hour. So much better than flying and having a 3 hour coach transfer!!!
We also prebooked our son's ski hire at 'Ski Higher',which is located over the bridge at the base of Grand Bois apartments, and got 30% discount!
Big thumbs up for Les Trois Vallees!!!

Good location, short walk down the road to put skis on then short ski down the end of the run to the gondola. Good snow on piste in general, we love La Tania as this was our second stay. Only downside is standing at the bottom of the steps up to the chalet at the end of a hard day, knowing they are 2 flights up, but the cake beckons!
We're very grateful to hosts for letting us have use of a couple of rooms on the Sat for changing after skiing at the end of the week, as our flight did not leave until the evening. Hope we did not put off the incoming guests too much.

Review: Chalet:
I stayed as part of a group of 8 during the third week of March 08. The chalet is comfortable & there is a large living room to chill out in after a hard day on the slopes. There is a DVD player but no DVDs so you’d need to take your own. Bedrooms are comfortable but a little on the small side. The 2 attic rooms have limited headroom but I’d be happy to stay in them if I got a good deal. I stayed in room 1 which has an annoying problem with the radiator. It got really hot & made a running water noise all night.
Staff & Food:
Bern & Liz, the Chalet hosts, are great & cooked plenty of really good food every night. They offer a ski hosting service & although we didn’t use it I’m sure it would be good. They keep the chalet really clean & worked hard to ensure we had a good stay.
Snow etc:
We bought the 6 day Courcheval lift pass which worked out well for us. We managed to ski a lot of the areas but didn’t come close to skiing all the runs. There is so much variety here that I’ll definitely be back another season. The snow was excellent & we had great weather on all but our last day. Lifts were efficient & I didn’t notice any queues.
La Tania:
It’s a small village with a handful of shops & it’s a good inexpensive base for the 3 valleys. I ate in La Farcon Restaurant, absolutely outstanding & well worth a visit if you can afford it.
Overall I had a great holiday & will definitely be back.

Review: La Tania as a resort was great, yes there aren't a million bars, but the lively one (Ski Lodge) is always good and it means there is no messing about trying to do bar crawls! Also beer and food are reasonably priced (unlike neighbouring resorts).
The snow was amazing and the links into the other resorts are good, I've been to a number of resorts and I think that the Folyeres run is one of the best blue runs I have ever come across, steep when you want it, flatter when you don't winding through the trees and a bar at the bottom! Nice!
The other resorts also have great runs and it means you don't spend your time running around trying to do the most difficult runs possible, rather spending more time on the runs you like! That said there is some brilliant off piste to find, the couloirs are worth a go if you are experienced enough as is the long off piste from the summit of pointe masse to the val thorens valley.
Accomodation (by Alpine Charms) was pretty good, covered all the usual good stuff, avalanche of rocks onto the driveway was a little unexpected, fortunately our group (of 14) included at least 4 Civil Engineers so we were able to, err, stand around and point at it for a while.
All in all a brilliant holiday, will definitely be back to La Tania in the future, if only to do more 'latania.co.uk celeb spotting!'

The owners who live and run the business pride themselves in the fabulous food and fine wine, and the chalet is always warm and cosy! Review: This was our 4th time back to LT and it didn't disappoint.
Initially we were alarmed at the lack of snow while driving up the Valley
and equally at the amount in the village itself.
1st days skiing we bombed over to 1650 and it was dire there, hardly any snow in the resort!!
Was this going to set the scene for the week?
NO!!We had a monster dump over the next 30 hrs and it was powder city central all week.
We had 5 days great skiing in perfect conditions.Meribel was a bit icy, but what's new there?
I'll come back to La Tania again, and again.

Review: We stayed at Chalet Brigitte through Silver Ski and had the kind of time that a chalet holiday should be. A good bunch of people from various backgrounds enjoying the skiing and good company at night.
A comfortable chalet, basic bedrooms and comfortable lounge.Food was wonderful and Sam and Neil our hosts were relaxed, good natured and fun. They worked hard to keep everything just so.
The snow was poor( in fact it rained heavily one day) but the Piste Beasts kept things amazingly well pisted. Higher up things were much better, but I doubt that anyone will remember 07 as a vintage year! The Three Valleys spoil you, though. The huge range of terrain will suit all types of skier/boarder.
Too knackered to do much at night, except to eat Sam's wonderful food, but the Taiga Bar was a good place to chill and catch the football results!
Second time in La Tania and we will be back!

Review: Firstly, the 3 valleys is the most extensive and best ski area in the world. Once you have skiied here, other places just don't match it. Sorry, I've tried Whistler in Canada, and some great resorts in New Zealand - The snow may be good in those parts, but the variety of pistes and the distances you can cover don't even come close to the 600+km of piste in the 3 valleys.
La Tania is a great base from which to explore the 3 valleys region, particularly for intermediate and above skiiers who don't mind clocking some leg miles. It's a small resort, I like to ski hard and tend to fall asleep early so can't comment on the nightlife!
For a good warm up day head over to Courchevel 1650 (from La Tania up the Gondola, button lift, down Loze to the Biollay chair, across to Pramuruel then take the Roc Mugnier chair up to 1650).
I'm normally a keep the skis on kind of person, and avoid the faff of gondolas. However to fit in my favourite long day (9-5) from La Tania I'll go with the gondolas: 9am up La Tania Gondola, then chair, turn right down to Meribel down Boulevard Loze - blue, up Plan de L'homme chair, then Cheferie button (far right), head to St Martin de Belleville 2 chair via Jerusalem - red (best kept secret in 3 vallees), up St Martin chair, down Gros Tougne - cruisy blue, all the way to Les Menuires. Take Les Menuires chair up, down Les Boyes - blue to La Masse gondola, up 2 cable cars then down Fred Covilli - red, then join the blue for the ride down to Rebetty (wierd slow open lift to resort). Bruyeres Gondola up to the top of Mont de la chambre, turn left and follow signs down blue to Val Thorens, (quick lunch stop on the piste- no more than 45 mins). Stop to refuel here: Huge omelette and veggies about 9Euro on the side of the Mont de le Chambre piste. Turn left for Val Thorens, then Moutier chair up the other side of Val Thorens, Funitel de Grand Fond to the top, down into Orelle (4th valley), up very slow chairs to the highest point in the 3 valleys, gun it down here, chairs up to Val Thorens, down blue/red all the way back to Val Thorens to the Plan du Soleil chair then, gondola up to Mont de la Chambre (less wait time than the chair). Down mont de la Chambre - red, to Plan de Mains chair (biggest line of the day - taking the chair avoids the painfully slow blue 'poler' to Mottaret) down any blue into Mottaret (you may want to get the Plattieres bubble down from station 1 to avoid slush). Up Pas du Lac gondola to the top of Salire in the Courchevel valley, down Salire/Verdons to Coqs chair (shuts at 5pm we made it with 10 mins to spare). Down lanches - red, and f0lyeres - blue back to La Tania. Phew. Some brilliant runs in there. Next day is a recovery/cruise day in 1650!
For beginners there is sufficient space for learning down low before heading up the mountain, though at this time of year it's pretty churned up at resort level.
Spring skiing (I was there 31 March - 7 April) was the usual: good cover in the morning turning to slush by around 2pm. Mostly blue skies last week, but one big day of snow.
What to do when you are back from skiing in Spring? There are some great short walks near La Tania, I saw a deer and wild pig in the early mornings last week (early April). Follow the signs at the back of the Saboia apartment complex (to go up mountain), or near La Taiga restaurant (down towards villages). You can get a map from the tourist office.
Just a recommendation for getting up the mountain quickly - if you are heading to Courchevel 1850/1650 from La Tania, take the Gondola (the only way out of La Tania), then the button lift up (next to the chair lift), this way you avoid having to 'pole' for about 50 metres at the top of the Lac Bleu/Loze run.
Great holiday, I rented a car from Easycar in Geneva, stocked up at Lidl at Lake Annecy on the way in, stayed at Seboia Apartments (all facing the piste -not the carpark - like I was in Mottaret last year!), ok free parking not too far away. About 100-200 metres to walk from my apartment door to the piste (will be less mid-season when more snow). 3 valleys the only way to go, see you next year.

Review: Enjoyed a week and a half in La Tania late March/early April 2007. Great little resort with fantastic skiing opportunities. Saboia apartments were well managed and clean although the walk up from the village can be tiring after a long day - we ended up skiing out of the car to make life easier for the kids. Found ESF a little dissapointing as they didn't really engage the children and make it as much fun as it could be. Overall though, a fantastic 10 days and I would highly recommend La Tania as a small friendly resort.

Review: We booked through Thomas Cook/Neilson on a last minute deal to Le Grande Foret apartments. However for some reason the apartment block is actually 2 – Grande Bois and Britania. We were in Grand Bois in an apartment for 5 which would have been VERY cramped had there been 5 of us but luckily there was only 2 of us! The location and the views from the apartments is superb – it was ski-in and would have been ski-out had there been enough snow but it was literally a minutes walk down a little slope from the entrance door to the Tania gondola. The room itself was spotless with lots of clean kitchen equipment, but the toilet was awful – it smelled of urine and the underside of the toilet seat was not a sight for the faint hearted! It’s worth noting that the 9th & 10th floor walkways to the rooms are also a public walk way & elevator from the chalets on the upper slopes of the resort to the centre of the resort and the gondola so you can imagine the noise from many pairs of ski boots clumping past your bedroom window from 7:30am – don’t expect a lie in!!
For food & drink we couldn’t fault La Taiga, Hotel Telemark and Marmottes which were all spot on for atmosphere with friendly staff and great menus. Unusually for us neither of us had a bad meal all week!
For empty, wide pistes it’s worth heading over to the far side of Courchevel and up the Chanrossa, Roc Mugnier & Chapaletes chairs where there are plenty of fun red runs. Not a lot of people seem to venture over that far so you can have fun without worrying about dodging ski schools ‘trains’ and learner skiers & boarders who cram the main slopes down into Courchevel 1850.
We don’t usually like to do the same resort twice but we were so impressed with the overall experience (except that toilet) we’re already looking at coming back next year!

Accommodation-it felt like I had never left home, it was that welcoming and comfortable. Ski Up and Out Chalet, close to the main town (although after a few Jars any walk back is long).
This was my first time snowboarding and unfortunately no other snowboarding holiday will live up to this place! So it looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Nick and Joey over the next few years. Hopefully next time I will be good enough to go on the excursions with Nick as they sound amazing, what this guy doesn’t know about the area is not worth knowing.

La Tania is lovely and the chalet was just superb. Nick and Joey, the chalet hosts, gave invaluable tips on the best slopes to learn. The food was first class, from the home made cakes (chocolate refrigerator cake is the best!!) to the superb three course evening meal with fine wine. Review: Another great hololiday in La Tania - second visit in 4 yrs. This time group of 20 (although 50/50 split kids/adults!). Chalet Amethyste suited group dynamics perfectly, although bear if your taking young children in need of use of buggy. Despite the promises by Ski Beat access is very tricky and without the use of 'off-road' buggy or baby slings, the younger ones of the group (non walkers) would have been chalet bound for the week! Overall food good, drinks flowing, accommodation good. Did suffer from having probably the foggiest skiing we've ever known - nearly lost one of our party down a ravine into Courchevel - due to lack of piste markers - that needs to be sorted.
ESF great for the little ones yet again - dont worry about the classes being big - it doesnt seem to make a difference for the 4-6 yr olds. Magic in Motion good 2 for the older ones. NB If your little one hasnt skied before dont bother with a pass. You can buy it later in the week for the days they need it.
La Tania doesnt fail again - sure we'll come again.

Review: Fnatastic!.
Snow/runs - loads of snow so coverage not a problem. Sometimes a bit icy and sometimes a bit slushy.
Food - Restaurants a tad expensive... Regional Products shop and supermarket had good choice and excellent quality. Drinks in Courchevel are expensive, i.e. Euros24.2 for 4 cokes.
Accommodation - Saboia (B Block) Apartments are very good, plenty of places to dry things, dishwasher, microwave and satelite TV. Easy to control heating. Balcony was a real sun-trap from 10am-3pm. Likely true of all apartments because all balconies are on the same side in the B block. The apartments are accessed (from the town-centre) via a steep set of steps (about 50). Alternative road-route is a lot longer. You can ski to the door but the route took a bit of finding.
La Tania is a small place and pretty quiet but facilties are very good and links to other places easy via lifts/boarding or a free and punctual ski-bus service. Ski school is good and it is a friendly sort of place, i.e. you meet the same people over and over during the week. Only one real (bubble) lift out of La Tania that gets high enough to other places but small queues when we were there. The drag-lift alternatives are a pig for boarders, i.e. steep, flat, tug, off! (nearly), and go on for ages so are tiring. Great selection of runs in La Tania and Courchevel.
hope this helps.

The skiing from then was absolutely great with the sun showing it's face too, and the red run OPENED which meant door-to-door skiing!!!
The chalet was a hop, skip & jump from the slopes, and very comfortable, we had great chalet hosts Ben & Caz, who pampered to our every need!! We had canapes & drinks before a 4 course dinner 6 nights in the week and the food served was superb (best yet in a chalet)

Only in resort for 4 days, drove home as the snow dumped down which was a shame. The drive back to Lyon was not very pleasant!!
Went to La Tania 5 years ago with Snowline (Chalet Lea) which was great. The resort hasn't changed that much other than some new chalets and apartments. The overall feel/charm remains the same which is as it should be.
Didn't rate Ski Higher for their service and booking procedure. Beware if you book the highest level of skis on Sport2000 website this does not correlate to the highest level of skis from Ski Higher. There was also some confusion over the deposit that I'd already paid. Have taken this up with the owners.
Prices in resort much better than the rest of the 3Vs.

La Tania itself is a quiet and efficient little center. Everything you need and never far to it. Bubble to the action never had any queues when I was there, but then I do get there within minutes of it opening, always the best approach to the morning rush. Piste to resort is suprisingly resilient and should suffice in all but the most miserable conditions. If this is your first 3V trip, get over to Courchevel and spend most of your time there, of course the 4V circuit to Orelle and back is obligatory, but the best skiing with the best lift system is in Courchevel. I would avoid the Meribel valley like the plague as a base, but this year, apparantly, the Platieres lifts have been upgraded. It's must be good I'm back there this Saturday!!

Review: Just returned from a fantastic week. Great snow, weather good and plenty of skiing. The accomodation was a typical French apartment - like many others I've stayed in only slightly scruffy (but clean). Perfect location though, literally ski to and from you door - and the La Tania gondola is literally 30 secs from the door, making it easy access to the slopes. We took our two and half year old son with us for his first holiday and he took to skiing like a duck to water. By the end of the week he was skiing the link from Courcheval to La Tania. Absolutely loved the resort. Ticked all the boxes for us as a family - we'll definately be going back! See you next year.

The food was ok with good prices its not to expecive to cook for your self the shops have anouth food.
Drink this is were La Tania is the best go to the Ski lodge on band nights they are really good fun. Drinks are ok prices but drink "muckzeg" it 3 beers in one you get drunk quicker.

Overal the Hiolday was great the Alps are the best thing ive ever seen. The people you will meet are all freindly and up for a good time. Review: 5th visit to la tania. Loved the skiing, superb snow, Restaurant Marmottons fantastic as always, apartment in Folyeres was great. The only downside is the noise that people make when they leave the ski lodge or L'arbatte. Talk about stereotypical yobbish British lager louts abroad. What is it about 4 pints of watered down beer and snow outside that makes people want to take their shirts off, run around singing badly and shouting loudly. The sooner these idiots realise that this behavior is irresponsible the better. More preferable if they find other ski resorts. Don't they realise that above the 2 bars they have just staggered out of are hundreds of people trying to get some sleep. This was not a one off incident. This occurred everynight! Everynight the same sad British accents. The bars should advise customers of their responsibilities to residents. Sort it out La Tania.

LOCATION: The chalet was in a great location. You can put your skis on right outside the boot room and pop onto the bottom of the red run. In the evening you can get within 20m of the door, PERFECT!
CHALET: Good although I think some of the interior is due for a make over. The seating area can be a bit cramped if the chalet is full and everyone decides to sit down at the same time.
FOOD: Absoultely gorgeous food. The breakfasts were the best and most varied I have ever had while skiing. The cakes in at tea were lovely and the evening meals were all excellent.
HOSTS AND STAFF: Everyone was great and extremely friendly and helpful. Would I stay again and recomend it to others. I certainly would and it was all very good value for money.

The hands free lift passes made one of the busiest times of the season effortless. A few queues nothing over a 20 min wait. Skiied almost as far as Oriel, unfort got to Val Thorens and turned back due to the weather conditions. The conditions were the best i have seen for many years, a litttle patchy in oplaces however the pistes were well groomed and tended each day. Pub ski put on a champion show for my mate Trish on her birthday, even Tim managed a few off notes on his BIG horn!!! Cheers Tim, got some great piccies must send them over for the album! Review: Holiday Company - French Life Ski.
We drove from Manchester which was a bit of a trek but were pleasantly surprised that there were no major delays, we arrived in the resort on Saturday 11th Feb at around 4.30pm, the road up to la tania is excellent (although not so good for a few drivers without snow chains when we left on Saturday 18th Feb!). The weather for the first three days was excellent which meant the snow was a bit worn and icy in places. Nevertheless it was very good skiing and a joy to be able to ski to the ski locker door! Ski hire for the children was very efficient at Twinner Sport, good supermarket and bread shop. The accommodation was very clean on arrival although could have been a bit bigger (our choice which we will obviously address next time) with great view over the mountains. We didn't eat out as when we tried to book the only times available were too late for the children, maybe next time we will book before we arrive. We found la tania and courchevel very easy to get around with good runs for all levels. One criticism, which we are sure will be sorted out in time, is that when the weather was bad (or good is you like to ski when its snowing) it was difficult to get over to courchevel for the children when the chairlift was not working (only the two drag lifts, which they did manage but my wife fell off!). We found la tania to be a very quiet, family friendly, 'happy' resort, overall we had a fantastic time and we will be back.

Review: Well,
where do I start?
I was just one of 14 boarders staying at Chalet Juba during the 2nd week of February. The majority of the group had decided to drive - to gain an extra day on the slopes, with the last two chaps catching the snow train from Waterloo Via Paris & Moutiers (gaining an extra 2 days over the usual 6 days when flying)
We had our first day (Saturday) on the piste -an excellent day due to being very quiet on the slopes - then mid afternoon rode down to the very back door of the chalet - only to be greated by Nick who had been out him self (probably covering all of the 3V in a morning!!!) We were able to ride out of the back door or a very short (10-15m) walk to the 'green' to ride on into town and on down to the gondola - an excellent location - simply excellent.
The chalet is, what can only be described as perfect, a true home from home. In fact better than being that, is was a heaven from home! Once we were all changed from the slopes, fresh cakes, tea and coffee were waiting for our hungry bunch of boarders - and boy didn't it disappear quickly! - this was the same on all days - different cakes, awaiting for the tired 14 souls that returned back to the heavly abode that is Chalet Juba
Nick & Joey were great - really welcoming, funny and extremley knowledgeable on the 3V area - we were able to get advise on which runs were going to be best each day - Nick took us out on two days - and for those that lasted! - a great day and many a mile was added to some quite already tired legs!
Evening meals were exquisite, with different wines to accompany the meal each night, we were not going to go hungry or thirsty - that was for sure!
Breakfast was ready each morning so we could re fuel before hitting the slopes again.
The boot room allowed us to have nice dry boots every day rather than the semi dry of previous years! again - hard to put a price on this luxury.
The only thing we would have changed was to have a tad more snow - but hey - at least everything else was perfect:-)
We will definitely be returning to Juba in the future - there is simply nothing to fault with the chalet, Nick and Joey's attention to detail with everything from the food to the advise and the humour at the table in the evenings!!!!!!!!!!!!
We departed saturday morning and 18 hours & 850 miles later - we were home - knackered - but home in one piece!!!
So cheers Nick & Joey - you really helped make this the best holiday ever
See you in the (I hope not to distant) future

The snow was a bit patchy towards the end of the holiday, but with the vast ski area you couldn't tell very much.
La Tania is very reasonably priced compared to Courchevel and Meribel for food and drink. There are some nice restuarants if you want to sample frogs legs but you cant beat the chicken wings from the ski lodge!!
Our accomodation was basic but it was all we needed for a weeks stay. The view of the piste from our balcony was great.

Collected car hire organised via pricematchcarhire from this web site. Excellent car a 406SW with 400KM on the clock. Stayed at Nick Ski in chalet Juba. Excellent clean accommodation with good wholesome tasty food, as much as you could eat with excellent home picked wine that would look good on any dinner table. Booked ski and boot hire from Ski Higher also from this web site. Excellent door to door service, the only complaint I have is that I had the premier ski and they were blunt. With a small group of 4 of us of mixed skiing/snow boarding abilities we found La Tania and Courchevel the best areas to ski. The weather was a bit too hot for the snow and it showed towards the end of the week with a great deal of icy and bare patches appearing. On the last day we hired a few sledges and did the luge run which was great fun in Courchevel 1850. It is a lot steeper and hair pin bends that it looks from the lifts! All in all we had a great time and would recommend all the companies we used and thanks to www.latania.co.uk for all there hard work.

Top food( if anything a little over elaborate) and great service from a good team( thanks to Lloyd,Ken and Annemarie).SkiMagic get top marks for customer service..lifts to Courcheval etc and skis, boots, passes all sorted out in chalet.
Clementine is pushing it a bit for size to accommodate 16 adults, nowhere for us all to sit down! But understand that SkiMagic are on the case and plan to reduce the numbers to a more manageable number( 12?) and change one of the downstairs bedrooms to increase the communal seating area. If they do that , then this will be a really attractive proposition for a great chalet holiday. The bars are few, the Taiga is best for chilling , Ski Lodge for a LOUD night.
Beginners note: the green back to La Tania is pretty steep in places. You'll be better off on the shuttle bus from 1850.

I'm so glad I chose to come to La Tania, we (Jez, my man & I) had just the best week. La Tania is pretty, (oozes alpine charm) is the gateway to a terrific ski area and is not over crowded or pretentious.
Gorgeous George and Tim the lovely Ozy were our chalet hosts at chalet Chardon and a great job they did too, fab food and wine and really friendly helpful guys. The chalet was situated in a convenient position and was warm and comfy.
We Enjoyed some great nights out after our 3 course meal & frequented the Taiga bar (pronounced Tiger) on the lower road, excellent atmosphere leather sofa's cool music etc and enjoyed a really good meal in their restaurant upstairs on George and Tim's night off. Pub Le Skilodge was busy (loads of tv's 2 people deep at the bar kinda thing)We were invited to stay for a lock-in on our last night in the bar next door to ski lodge! (mistake as we had to be up @ the crack of dawn the next day... not good).
It snowed on and off all week which was great, and we really explored the whole area, enjoyed 1650 and it's wide runs. Did get bloomin cold -21c at points (but hey that's what yer thermals are for!) The Le Folyeres run back in to La Tania was prone to getting a tad icy in the afternoon, but having had a vin chaud @ lunchtime it wasn't that bad.
Excellent holiday, really sad to go home and can't wait to go back!!

Wonderful chalet at side of blue piste to village was ski in ski out. Chalet hosts Brett and Kate from Australia were absolutely fantastic hosts, cooked breakfasts, great afternoon teas and dinners out of this world. They even picked up slabs of beer for the troops in their own time. 5 star service. Snowmaking on run to resort first class during a bit of a lean spell regarding snow. Local bars very good especially Taiga which I now rave about to anyone who'll listen. Three valleys skiing continues to be the best in the world and improvements for the coming season with passless turnstiles and upgrading of lifts on the 1650 side will see me back again next year. Review: First time to La Tania and hope it won't be the last. Had a fantastic time and arrived the week after the great dump of snow so perfect conditions. Great value for money. Everybody was so friendly whether in the village, on the lifts or in the mountain restaurants such as Les Corbelys (Spell??!!). The area is so vast that it far exceeded any of my expectations. We made it to Val Thorens once but then had a run of our lives to get back to the lift we wanted from Courchevel in time - just made it too - great laugh though! (I guess we should get out of bed earlier!!)
Hope to get there next year. Stayed in La Tania Apartments but couldn't remember the name of it. Its the one just over the wooden bridge from the main hotel I think.

Review: After an overnight drive (3 drivers)we arrived in La Tania at about 0930 on 19th March and were on the lifts by 1030. We were able to get into our duplex apartment at 1600 after a full day's skiing. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped. The advantage of renting from an English owner is that there is a kettle and mugs and a reasonably well stocked store cupboard. Also a good selection of interesting books and games to keep the non-skiers or anyone unfortunate enough to have a mishap entertained. The kitchenette, whilst not spacious, was adequate for our needs and we enjoyed meals out at La Ferme, the Telemark and Les Marmottes. On departure day we enjoyed another full day's skiing before setting off on the long drive home neatly avoiding the traffic. We caught the shuttle at 0545 and were home mid morning on Sunday. Snow conditions were rather Spring-like and the sunshine was wonderful. It was like skiing on wet sugar by the early afternoon although the morning skiing was excellent and we enjoyed some well prepared runs into Meribel and Courchevel. Having visited in early January and again in early March, we seemed to cleverly avoid the best skiing and a consolation pair of skis would be warmly received!!

Review: We were in La Tania for the week from 8th January staying with Ski Beat in Chalet Topaze. Our hosts were Sophie and Daisy. The snow was not the best we have had but there was excellent skiing to be had over the whole area. Sophie and Daisy proved excellent cooks and Daisy's ski guiding was brill. It is the only chalet party we have ever been on where the "5th dimension" was a dinner conversation topic!! One of our fellow guests had been given the latest Stephen Hawking book as bedtime reading! It was a good thing that the Chateau Topaze red was reasonably palatable! Overall an excellent week with first rate hosts.

Review: What can I say. From the moment we arrived, the week could not have been better. Ron (Veronica) and Ian were the ideal hosts who prepared fantastic food, served great wine, and treated us as if we were family. Ron is a great chef, Ian does a superb breakfast and, get this, he imports wine as well, so both quantity and quality were excellent (not at breakfast though). The only trouble was we had to eat and drink it all!
Although we went towards the end of the season the snow was still good, but lower down was “a bit sugary in the afternoons”. As well as being perfect hosts, we picked up the skiing jargon from Ron & Ian as the week went on also.
La Tania was the ideal location for us. We were a party of 3 families , 6 adults and 7 kids. Seven of the party hadn’t skied before. A combination of the beginners run in La Tania and the greens in Courchevel 1850 were perfect for them, whilst those who thought they knew what they were doing were able to go further a-field quickly and easily. The après-ski is as lively or quiet as you want it to be.
Finally, to sum up how good a time we had, despite the party collecting one fractured wrist (teenage boy who thought he could snowboard) and two damaged knee ligaments (forty something beginners getting a bit cocky and over-confident towards the end of the week), the fact that we are all desperate to return to the same chalet in the same resort as soon as we can is the best recommendation I can make. Fantastic.

La Tania ticks all thi right boxes, its got the alpine charm, amazing skiing terrain. Its quiet and traffic free, so the adults can dring beer and watch children participationg in dangerous activitites .Accomodation is always clean and whilst basic has everyjing we need. The food is affordable in La Tania you are getting good value and excellant quality. We always love our La Tania holiday its perfect for families, and people who have not sjiied before. I would reccomend, however would be saddened if it become to busy and touristy as this is its attraction for me and my family.

Review: Four o’ clock in the morning starts are never the most agreeable, least of all when Gaylord Focker (Paul) is scratching away in the next room all night. Remember, I’m the one with the allergies, right.
So there we were on the M25 at 5.00 in the morning. Not pleasant for me but probably par for the course for the Canon corporate slaves. I decided this year to begin my trip with some semblance of where I might actually be going, devoting detailed study time to the piste map while sat at my desk. Pic Noir, Jerusalem – I could even tell you what colour they are. This geographic familiarisation proved somewhat redundant at the airport, when I found myself lost and alone fifteen minutes prior to departure. I only went to buy some sweets.
Gill was as understanding as ever. “That’s your problem”.
The transfer couldn’t have been smoother. We were picked up by a Kiwi called David in a smart looking mini-bus and he may well have wondered how his week was to pan out, as echoes of “smell my cheese” whipped the frosty morning air. Having your boots, skis and ski passes delivered directly to the chalet is a new and pleasurable experience that Laura obviously enjoyed. I suspect without such convenience, it may well have taken her a few days to actually get up and hire anything; such was her laid-back approach to mountain life.
A few slices of cake in the delightfully homely chalet (as long as you’re not allergic to it of course) and we were off. I can’t be held fully responsible for misreading the map but given my previous ten hours of study, I felt a tinge of guilt as David careered head first down the black run an hour later, with his tongue out and one ski on.
“I can’t stop, I can’t stop” echoed through the Three Valleys until some French guys rescued him, halfway back to Geneva. And so the inevitable daily adventures began.
The following day, I dropped Gill off at her ski school armed with her dinner money and a miserable expression and waved her goodbye at the gates – or what is at the lift? At least I know what it will be like taking the kids skiing for the first time, should we ever have any. On the Tuesday, they decided to take her to Courcheval 1850 and leave her there – a little unfair for someone so young – but despite the sprinklings of snow, we knew how to get back over to La Tania and carefully boarded the chairlift to Cote De La Loze. As we reached the top, the weather was appalling – thick snow, biting wind and freezing cold. Visibility was no more than a few yards, the only conceivable benefit being that you couldn’t see Gaylord’s dodgy ski outfit anymore.
“Don’t make me do it. Don’t make me do it. Why did you bring me here – I knew this would happen”, Gill yelled, tears streaming down her face. I hadn’t considered that I was somehow responsible for the prevailing weather systems but that’s relationships for you.
Despite some encouragement and some stern looks, the group’s attempts to get Gill down the run to safety were always going to be doomed – persuasion seems to have the opposite effect with her.
“I’m staying here, I’d rather just die”, was the worrying decision she took as the conditions worsened and our gloves started to freeze. There was only one option. I hopped over to the lift and in my best pseudo French-English-Russian-Thai begged, “My girlfriend she cries. We must go down.” Whether he understood me or not is perhaps not relevant, as her face told a thousand stories and the lift was brought to an abrupt halt and we clambered aboard – not without more tears mind, as descending a chairlift is another experience Gill hasn’t be schooled in – but a few minutes later as the weather eased at a lower altitude, she calmed down. If only that was the end of it.
I though it best to get back on the slopes briefly and head down to 1550, but Gill decided to walk down the slopes, with me boarding and carrying her skis. Don’t you just love a good skiing trip? Needless to say, she resigned from ski school the following day.
The chalet was very homely – great food, great hosts (who thankfully didn’t get the guitar out every few hours as in a previous trip) and a prize selection of dorks to boot. Damien and the badminton boys occupied the remaining downstairs room, and debate ensued about the mechanics of their relationship. At first, it appeared that the badminton boys were gay lovers and, after the slopes, would take advantage of each other while Damien sat upstairs. Hours later they would emerge in their de rigueur uniform of jeans pulled up chest-high with a jumper tucked in, and a nice brown belt. But apparently they were brothers. If I was to guess their occupation I would have said they were account clerks for the National Trust. As it transpired, they were account clerks for the National Trust.
Luckily we managed to lose them each day, but this meant that David and Annie would have to ensue the torture whenever they offered to go ski-guiding. A full day would have sent me over the edge – literally.
My phone bill amounted to £70 over the week as I spent each day frantically trying to meet up with Dan and Chris at the top/bottom/middle of each run. Delete as appropriate.
Since the chalet was equipped with about 40 novels, this kept Louisa occupied for the first few days and David, other than on day one, shared Gill’s facial expression most days as he headed down the run with La Tania’s largest blister of the season. Oh and he just really loved Damien. The remaining days passed with similar adventures – Gill and Lou skiing into a road, races, and a bag of potatoes on the end of your chair.
A great trip, despite my aversion to the chalet – no idea what caused that (don't worry if you stay here - it's a medical condition) – and surprisingly Robbie the Scotsman’s wife did appear from upstairs about four days in. And to think we thought he’d knocked her off, pretending to take her a bread roll each morning.

As for the skiing we were lucky in that we got the last of the pre-christmas snow before the heavans truly opened up in mid jan. It was very firtunate that with so many snow cannons runs such as the Troyeres will still pleasant to ski. having skied the 3 Valley's often, it is not many times that you can the say the worst snow we skied was of the top of the Cime Caron. Review: We were looking for somewhere to stay in La Tania and after narrowly missing out on a Snowline chalet we found Chalet Juba on the La Tania.co.uk.
I spoke to Nick on the phone and he was very friendly and enthusiastic. Nick owns and runs the chalet with his partner Joey (very friendly helpful lady).
All I can say is that I'm glad we missed the Snowline chalet. We had the best week ever at Chalet Juba. The chalet location is superb. In the morning you only have to walk a couple of minutes before you can strap on your skis/board/blades and pop out onto the red slope down to the main gondola. In the evening you can literally ski back to the chalet door.
Once back, there was always delicious fresh cakes and tea and coffee. Loads of hot water to soothe the aching muscles and then excellent food and wine in the evening. After dinner just relax with a coffee in front of the fire. A perfect experience.
The week we went the snow was excellent after a dump of about a metre of snow in the first couple of days. It did go very cold (-18 outside the chalet!) but it didn't matter, we had some of the best skiing we've ever had.
Thanks Nick & Joey, we will be back in the future!

Review: Our self-catering chalet for 8 was lovely, although we got stung by a 30 Euro per person cleaning charge, which did not include emptying the dishwasher! I would recommend doing a big shop in Moutiers on your way out if you are self-catering. The Sherpa in La Tania is ok, but small and not great value.
The public lift was an absolute life-saver after a knackering day (or night)out! But I would advise girls to wear hard-core walking shoes because the grit on the pavements is patchy.
The restaurants in La Tania were great, which made up for having to take out a second mortgage to pay for lunch anywhere in Courchevel!
Unfortunately the snow deteriorated throughout the week, which made getting to and from the main Courchevel valley pretty tricky unless you are a very good and confident skier. But luckily the excellent free ski shuttle bus saved the day.
I would heartily recommend a stay in La Tania, it is really pretty and has a village atmosphere unrivalled in my experience. I will be back!!

Review: Long time since we skied in France, having been to Austria and Italy for several years A change of scene was called for.......no more 4 star hotels. Let's try a chalet again? What a difference a few years makes. Wow! Pictuesque alpine looking wooden chalets, set amongst trees, in a quiet part of the mountain. Ours, Chalet Juba, seemed brand new. Everthing clean, fresh, sparkling. Warmly decorated, cosy, imaginative recipies with pleanty of great food and lots of good wine, (definitely not cheap plonk). A great welcome and genuine interest was exuded by our hosts Nick and Joey to help make our stay everything we wanted.
We skied, virtually to and from, the front door every day. The nearest lift to get up the mountain was only minutes away. An enormous choice of pistes, big wide blue cruisers, rattling good red runs and mean black runs will cater for every level of ability. It's high too, so you are assured of good snow. Nick, (of NICK SKI), knows the mountain so well and will guide you to some magic places!
Finally, the really good news - it wasn't expensive! Which was what had driven us away from France all those years ago.........We'll definitely go back again!

Review: Have been to La Tania for 8 years now and this is the place to stay!!!!! What a difference it makes when you stay in a chalet which is also the host's home. We arrived early on the Saturday (none of this you can't arrive untill at least 4.00pm) and the Chalet was spacious, warm, comfortable and immaculate. Nick and Joey were fantastic throughout the week. The food was excellent, and what a difference it makes to drink decent wine poured from the bottle!! It was hard to leave.
The skiing was the best.... over 36cms of snow in the week and sunshine as well. I wil always remember those first tracks in the morning.
Nick and Joey---- Thank you

The small sledge ride down the blue run to the ski pub at night was interesting and caused much laughter. We skiied mostly in Courchevel 1650 a 10 mins bus ride away or ski direct if you are a little more advanced. A vast area to ski in with wide open pistes. Excellent would definately go again.

We were all getting a bit worried when we got to la Praz and there was no snow to be seen (December 28th 2002)! Nerves about our chalet hosts soon were soothed and we settled into Chalet Amethyst (second year in a row here too!) In a nutshell we had a good week skiing mainly up and over into Courcheval 1850 and back again at the end of the day. Highlights of the week - New Year's Eve, shopping in Courcheval 1850 the day it rained, and our afternoon out with Robbie from SCF in a white-out!! It is the first time ever I have come home and had to wipe mud off my boots, but we had a great time and look forward to next year with you all in La Tania.

Review: If you want to avoid the morning queue's waiting to enter the Three Vallys system then La Tania is superb ! Not once did I have to wait to board the lifts and within minutes you are on the slopes. The choice of ski-ing is huge and all areas are within range of La Tania, although to get across to Val Thorens was a bit of a trek. La Tania is a quiet resort with little choice except the one pub, however due to the quality and quantity of the ski-ing and the fantastic weather I have never skied so much in my life and had little energy left for Apres Ski especially having eaten a large meal and unlimited wine at the chalet each night. I would recommend La Tania to anyone especially families or couples. However if you must have a good night life then you should choose another location unless you are prepared to pay for a taxi each night.

Review: Quiet resort but conveniently located to board either courcheval or Meribel. Apres Ski was a bit limited and if it wasn't for the one pub, would have been a taxi trip each night to find some life!! Limited choices to eat as some restaurants had decided to shut up shop for the season so once again the local pub saved the day. Accomodation was very basic considering what we payed and would definitely look at an inclusive package next time in our own chalet. Snow was fantastic. 3 valleys is surely the best resort in the world. Didn't board the same run twice..superb. So in summary I would recommend La Tania for a quiet ski holiday, with great access to all valleys. If you want to party stay in Meribel..

We sent the girls in first to check out the resort ! They came back with top reviews for the skiing (the important bit) and some well selected restaurant ideas. Despite problems with planes (too much snow) they still managed a full weekends skiing so the boys arrived a few weeks later...
Transfer was quick and easy in the minibus; helped by alcohol consumption. Ski lodge was basic but adequate with helpful staff (what little we saw of them).
Making the most of fantastic ski conditions we were out a lot of the time; La Tania is a superb ski base and it would be best not to tell too many people about it; so easy to get up high quickly and without the queues faced elsewhere.
Apres ski was reasonably quiet but adequate for everyone; Apart from the main pub, the hotel was a different venue in which to enjoy a competitively priced drink and game of pool until 2am !!! The gym & pool was available as well, at a price.
Three hard days of skiing and partying later and we had to leave LaTania with a fresh 8" of snow; what more could entice us back next year (a free holiday perhaps !).

Review: LaTania is the best kept secret place in the Alps that once you've visited you'll want to tell everyone about. It's a cute little place snuggled in between Meribel and Courchevel so you get everything from both those areas with a touch of exclusivity and at low prices by comparison.
The log cabin village above the village within an alpine forest has stunning views down the valley and it is connected to the town by a lift to make the evening walk back from one of the bars a pleasure rather than an expedition.
Our chalet was clean, and spacious; well run by two New Zealanders that cooked great food, provided us with good local information and gave us a good laugh. We ski'd to and from the door, well more so from the door because most afternoons we ski'd directly from the slopes to the door of the pub.
The town it's self is cute more of a village really; just a few modern but tastefully built hotels, one of which houses a public sauna and swimming pool and a village centre. There's a supermarket, a fantastic baker's, and a few different food shops for lunch time snacks. I tried out most of them, all great quality and I never felt ripped off, unlike at some other resorts.
Apres ski varied. Some nights we went to the Ski Lodge a couple of times to the French bar and one night we took the free ski bus to and from Le Praz (back at midnight) I have to admit to not paying full price for any of the beers all holiday, or at least not remembering paying full price because it was happy hour seemingly every time we ordered. The Ski Lodge provided the football fixes by means of Sky TV and the internet facilities allowed me to email work and gloat.
The live music night at the Ski Lodge was a bit too live for my taste so the French Bar provided a gentler evening's entertainment and a refreshing change of beer brands.
The Folyeres blue ski run runs straight through the town and just over the wooden bridge is Ski Higher.

Review: How do you describe La Tania, I'm not sure, a haven from the snobs of Courchevel or Meribel??
We came as a family for the first week, including non skiing parents then for the second week skiing friends joined us , it was fantastic, Parents loved it too - not sure what the village thought of them!
Great lifts to the top, ski school great (according to Tracy, she wanted to pick the best looking instructor but was too scared to!)Skiing fantastic.
However, don't take the sign 1/2 way down to La Tania that says La Tania on an off road when the snow is light. We spent an hour walking (with skis in the now dark) back to the village, no clue where we were going and convinced we would have the search parties out looking for us (thank god for walkie talkies!) A pub has never been so welcoming as that night!!!!
New Year = best place in the whole world, we'd got rid of the family and the friends had arrived. Fantastic meal at Le Ferme then into the square, put it this way we are coming back this year!!!!! I now love the ketchup song, they kept playing it (reminds me of La Tania)! I know I am very sad. My son (14) drank a whole bottle of wine without suffering (well he is a snowboarder so what do you expect?).
From La Tania you can do the 3 valleys and back in a day, we did it new years day (those who had'nt taken their phones off the hooks!!!) You must do this!!
I'm not sure how to end this except to say that we (partner and I) still visit the website everyday, and wish we were there!!!!
Going home - another story, caught in a blizzard on the peage - moved 12kms in 10 hours!!! ended up wearing dirty laundry to keep warm!!!!
The only down thing about the whole holiday (no we didnt mind getting stranded on the peage with 15,000 other cars!)
was my sons snowboard (his brand used twice new christmas present) and my skis were knicked from the hotel lockers. (But I guess thats why we have insurance)

(A bit of a whiteout but nothing to us Scottish Skiers) Good weather & fantastic Skiing for the rest of the week. Who said the April Skiing was Quiet / boring? Top nights on Mutzig? & shot?s in Le pub, culminating in 3 am sledging down Folyeres & impromptu firework displays which even the neighbours appreciated. (Well they threw full cans of beer at us, a definite compliment where we come from!) Last but not least, a terrific Chalet with enthusiastic (on duty for a 5:30 am breakfast on our last morning was well impressive) hosts & some of the best home cooking ever. Thanks Tim & Maz. It is so good we will be back next year, hopefully same place same time, only this time with reinforcements!

OK to give a bit more detail in the more conventional way. La Tania is a beautiful resort, offering something for everyone. Fairly quiet(ish) apart from pub le ski lodge on Tuesday night after toffee vodka and tequila slammers! But seriously, it is the sort of place you can make as relaxing or as lively as you wish. The 'locals' are very welcoming and keen to share 'local practices', such as tobogganing 'La Tania style'. Again, refer to Tuesday night, toffee vodkas etc. Say no more. Nightlife mostly centered around 'Pub Le Ski Lodge' which hosted 2 great live bands during the week, and seems to be most popular amongst the British. Other venues catered for tastes varying from a billiards contest to Russian folk dancing!
Regular busses run until late should you wish to sample the attractions of nearby villages / towns, such as Courcheval 1850 or 1650.
During my stay it was possible to ski right into the village, but convenient lift access makes it an ideal location whatever the snow conditions.

The staff of 'Accommodation in the Alps'(Sue, Sandy, Karen and Nick) were absolutely first class - friendly, professional, always available and extremely efficient). The apartments were comfortable, well furnished and well situated with fantastic views of the piste and mountains.
The snow and skiing were great considering the season had just begun. Ski classes were well organised and the instructors (English speaking) were friendly and accommodated everyone's needs.
The local hostelry (Le Pub Ski Lodge)provided great food and entertainment in a 'Kid - friendly' environment and the staff were again first class. The owner/manager - Tim 'The terrible tyrant who can't play twister' has been known to rip the tablecloth from underneath the plates and glasses of unsuspecting diners to the rapturous applause of kids and parents alike.

Trios Vallees is one of the most amazing areas I have boarded in, better than Whistler BC; but the lifties aren't so friendly! You can go in a different direction every day and not cover the same runs once. Snow was good as we had some fresh to arrive to which was great, but went slushy as the sun was hot! Review: Okay! So we're back in the land of reality, BUMMER, but there you go. We arrived in La Tania on a crispy Saterday afternoon, with beautiful blue skies and no possiblity of snow for at least the next few days. We were welcomed by our Chalet Staff who were eager to get us settled and sorted out. Unpacked and ready for dinner, later saw a few of us down at the Ski Lodge for a couple of tipples with the locals. That proved to be a rather potentially hazardous experience, it's amazing what the high altitude and some fresh air could do on our first morning out on the slopes. We had made an impression as someone approached me in Corchevel 1850 and asked if I had been at the Ski Lodge the night before...
As 2nd, 3rd and 4th days drew to a close, there was still no dump in sight, so we had to adapt to the rather icy conditions, albeit challenging for the beginner/intermediates. 5th and 6th days saw such amazing fun on the lower runs, with all the friends I had met, some staff from other chalets etc and even some of the reps were out. GREAT to see them ease into both the social informants as well as the "hard-core" ski bums.
Friday evening saw our "until then - goodbyes" to fellow ski/board enthusiasts as our transfers were a 4:30am start back to Geneva.
La Tania is perfectly situated for the 3 Valleys and I agree, it can be as lively or as sleepy as you want it to be. Great family facilities and the free ski buses to other resorts superb. Although, we wouldn't mind them running a little later, I'll be going back for a long weekend before the end of the season.

Had a few memorable evenings in La Tania, including numerous late night expeditions to Pub Le Ski Lodge... only Bob and Hector were missing from Le Pub crew.
La Tania is fast becoming one of the best ski resorts to visit, the Chalets are all modern most with en-suite, which, let's face it that's what most of us want these days... a great bus service to Courcheval valley, which one of non-skiing members used frequently. Not their choice, an unfortunate tumble on the first day

Did I need to drink that much?
What are the real names of Keith and Bob (Jim and Pete, mmmm Chaz and Dave, you know the Irish bloke singery people)
Is it possible to have such tall people in the Ski Lodge - are there no height restrictions?
Is there anything better to eat than a Ski Lodge Burger when you have a hangover?
is there anywhere better than La Tania on a powder day?
Of course the answer to that is no!!
But seriosly, despite the slight liver poisening, La Tania is, as ever, one of my favourite places. Sitting on the balcony looking up at Col de la Loze watching the sun go down...... (bit of poetic licence there as the sun go downs on the other side of the mountain but hey I need another holiday big time so bear with me), Foliers at the end of the day......,the absolutely awesome snow last week.
If you haven't been you have to go. Don't expect glitz and fur coats but do expect to have a fantasitc time in a beutiful place full of unpretentous people who love to board./ ski.
And now that the advertisment is over the desperate plea follows: If you give me the holiday I will clean my own toilet, hoover my room, even help with the cooking..... anything....anything at all to come back for another week. Ok I'll even take the rubbish to the poubelles!!!!!
Pretty please?!

Review: We had a great stay and everything went smoothly as far as the organisation by Accomodation in the Alps are concerned. Phil Spence picked us up, Debbie looked after my 4 month old baby and all the ski/boot hire was also sorted. Loved the flat because it is Toffa's and as a fellow Toons supporter I felt right at home! Also great to have Sky TV because it kept the kids happy in the evening.
Only criticism was we were unaware we needed the children's passports to confirm their ages re the ski passses - so a wasted journey over to the ticket station from the flat but that is a very minor point.
Had a lunch in the pub ski lodge and thought food was excellent, plentiful - plus the service was FAST which was a key point with a starving 4 year old!
Wonderful to see all that snow (went late January) and the skiing was superb. Cannot wait to get out there again.

Review: Great food and wine. Brand new chalet - first guests, some leaks and electrical problems added to the fun. Their new chalet Helene is sooooo much better now. Some maniac called TC was our ski guide, are you supposed to ski down the drag lifts looking fot the best snow???? Thanks Ronnie & Ian - was a great introduction to skiing!

Review: Great weather, soft snow, cool beer and very friendly locals! Particularly liked Happy Hour down the Ski Lodge and the Rose wine on the terrace. Great Caesars Salad at Lodge du Village in the sunshine too.... (and more Rose!). Thanks to all the great staff and residents of La Tania and Meribel Village, RAB.

Review: Stunning scenery, loads to do - visited so many places I can't remember - Brides le Bain - great outdoor market! Walked areas that in the winter you would ski - would love to see/do that!
Le Pub was great. I was on my own, but felt part of a group, everyone was so friendly. The tourist office gave great info - hated having my photo taken for the lift pass though! But the people in the shop that did it made you feel at ease, so the photo, though not good, could have been worse. La Tania was what I was looking for - an escape from everyday life. If I could afford it, I would buy a property to escape to more often. Wonderful

Review: First time skiing, absolutely excellent. Conditions were perfect, I was told! The Magic In Motion guys were brilliant, they had me doing parallels down red runs after 4 days! Everyone was really friendly and helped me out after falls! Beautiful scenery, a whole new experience for me. Wish I didnt have to come home!!!

Review: Too much to drink on the Eurostar on the way down. Looked after very well by Emma & Susie. Not much skiing done though - due to my condition not the snow conditions!

Review: Apartments basic but dead handy for the town and bubble. Organised my own holiday using the internet. Flight to Geneva with easyjet and then transferred to La Tania with 3 Vallee Transfers - Excellent value! See you next year!

Review: Day trip to ski whilst on a works trip! The guys at the Ski Lodge (Fleet, Toffa, Chris, Di and Ingrid) sorted out everything in advance - Lift passes from Chabi, skis from Ski Higher, lessons from Magic in Motion and Champagne outside on the terrace at lunch. Cheers.

Review: La Tania Feb 2002 will be memorable for me - not for the skiing - but because I had to leave after 2 days of my scheduled 7 as my girlfriend (at home in UK) went into labour 11 weeks early. Luke is now 8 m old, doing great and I will be back in France next Feb to celebrate.
