La Tania Charity Day 2009 - Wednesday 15th April
Charity Day Message From Sandy:
Latest Totals: Tim raised 14,000€ through the Ski Lodge , The Ball at the Taiga and The BBQ at LDV. Through the sponsored walks, all the events on the day , T-shirts , curries, tartiflette, BBQ etc we made 11,000€ - so a massive total of 25,000 Euro's were raised for the two charities
There were the usual fantastic efforts from the likes of the Walls, Telemark, Tourist Office and everyone one on the 'Roll of Honour' list but the smaller things stood out for me like the effort with the Troika and Mount Cook challenges, the Marmottons Restaurant hunting out Nico to make a donation, BYS donating their playing fee and the Harley boys putting in their usual 100%, plus of course all the amazing cakes.
The Mayor turning up to open it, representation from both Charities and a subsequent write up in the 'Dauphine Libere' newspaper shows how far we have progressed. It's an amazing effort and congratulations to everybody . It is the best yet - Now all we have to do is beat it next year!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR WORK Sandy.

La Tania Charity Day 2008 - Message from Sandy October 2008
I would just like to let you know the total that we have made for the 2008 Charity day. It was a massive total of €19,348 with €800 still owed ...so if everyone pays we would have cracked an incredible €20,000, a fantastic effort from everyone.
Over the last 7 years over €100,000 has been raised by your efforts. There are too many people to thank but a special thank you to Tim and Debbie at the Ski Lodge, Dodgy Phil for sorting out the T shirts, the Tourist Office and staff for all their efforts, Dave Jordan and the bands, all the crew that contributed to the food and everyone who turned up on the day and of course the Harley Davidson crew.
The money raised will go to French Ligue Contre Cancer, Sebastians Action Trust (building homes for children with Cancer) and the Méribel Red Nose. I have attached a page of the Sebastian's Trust Magazine which has an article about the day.
Sorry it has been so long to announce the total. Love your work... Sandy.
