Still no confirmation of the "secret" Méribel gig(s) that were leaked by The Observer and Méribel Tourist Office. We were sworn to secrecy but now it's in the public domain... Gigs were rumoured to be around 26 March (the date is NOT confirmed - please don't book flights!) and talk of a free outside gig was planned, probably near The Ronnie in Méribel Official comment from The Feeling is "there are some interesting plans afoot but nothing is definite, so don't pack your suitcase just yet".

The Feeling (previously Super Fly), Ski Lodge regulars in 2001 with the odd gig in La Tania since, have signed to Island Records. The single Fill My Little World was a limited release in November 2005. A former Jo Whiley record of the week, a session on Dermot O'Leary's show and the backing track to Soccer AM's goals of the week. Are they too famous for La Tania now?
Second Single - Sewn
The second single called Sewn
was released on 27th February 2006. It entered the charts at number 7 and the guys appeared on Top of the Pops.
The Feeling came 3rd in the BBC Sound of 2006 Survey. More at thefeeling.co.uk

Gig Review - The Feeling @ Carling Academy 2 Birmingham - 12 Feb 2006
The Feeling (aka Super Fly who lived in La Tania in 2001) played a great set to a sold out crowd on the last night of their current tour - Quite funny that they nearly didn't make it 'cos of snow - they were stuck on the motorway from Glasgow for 7 hours on Sunday! Next they support the Charlatans, another tour in June, then it's loads of Summer Festivals. Playing all the stuff off their new album to be released in June called Twelve Stops and Home highlights included the haunting Rosé (or Love and Alcohol as Dan put it) the power pop Love It When You Call plus rocking versions of their 2 singles to date Fill My Little World and Sewn. Crystal clear vocals from front man Dan, pumping bass from Richard and Ciaran's harmonies sounding superb - The Feeling was there gonna be huge.... |
