6 March 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After thorough planning on Wednesday, we started the challenge on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 \u2013 our fifth day in Les 3 Vall\u00e9es – Simon, Richard and I set off at 8:45 to catch the first ride of Cascades, heading towards Portette to begin the tour. Getting the first run at Lory was just amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knowing from experience that Pas du Lac tends to get very crowded in the morning, we were worried about losing too much time there \u2013 but fortunately, we only had to wait for about five minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n

Around lunchtime, our plan was to grab a sandwich and eat in a gondola, but we couldn\u2019t find a good spot that wouldn\u2019t cost us too much time, so we kept ourselves going with cereal bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch, some clouds covered the sky and it got pretty cold on Pointe de la Masse. But by then, we were confident that we would make it to P\u00e9clet in time for the final run at 16:45 \u2013 and we did! We arrived at 16:35 and got our last run in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was an intense but incredible experience \u2013 definitely a highlight of our ski trip. We had so much fun completing the challenge and can only recommend it to anyone who loves exploring the full area in one go.<\/p>\n\n\n

ESCAPADE 2025 \u2013 What\u2019s this all about\u2026<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The 3 Valleys Escapade was the lift company promotion of visiting (originally in 2006) 14 points across the Three Valleys and gaining a certificate & badge over the period of your holiday \u2013 doing it in a day was a bit tricky though!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all started out as a late night \u201cis it possible?<\/em>\u201d discussion \u2013 the history and our original route from 2006 are here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally punch cards had to be stamped at each check point until electronic passes arrived and then the use of a lift was recorded \u2013 now we use Apps such as Ski Tracks or Relive to prove our route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the Escapade is no longer officially promoted by Les 3 Vallees from Winter 2017 but we still record successful tracks for anyone who is interested in being in the sought after La Tania Escapade Hall of Fame<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
