There’s Always Hope…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As 4 Snow boarders with a combined age of 224 (Steve Dales 55, Daz Scott 57, Chris Beer 57 and Steve Coates 64) spending another week in the 3 valleys, we had been wondering if the Escapade in a day would be possible?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All week we eyed up the lift queues and on our final day Saturday March 8th\u00a0decided to go for it. Staying in Meribel Center we were 2nd in the lift que at 08:45 (opened at 09:00) starting at Legends and were off.<\/p>\n\n\n

As luck would have it the queues were favourable and on a perfect sunny day we bounced around the resorts following the route with Chris Beers doubts slowly fading and the excitement that we might actually do it growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 16:56hrs with only 4 mins until lifts closed we arrived back at Legends after 54.5 miles of snow boarding and only a 15 minute break for our pre made baguettes for lunch feeling on top of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fantastic day with great mates and a real sense of achievement throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n

ESCAPADE 2025 \u2013 What\u2019s this all about\u2026<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The 3 Valleys Escapade was the lift company promotion of visiting (originally in 2006) 14 points across the Three Valleys and gaining a certificate & badge over the period of your holiday \u2013 doing it in a day was a bit tricky though!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all started out as a late night \u201cis it possible?<\/em>\u201d discussion \u2013 the history and our original route from 2006 are here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally punch cards had to be stamped at each check point until electronic passes arrived and then the use of a lift was recorded \u2013 now we use Apps such as Ski Tracks or Relive to prove our route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the Escapade is no longer officially promoted by Les 3 Vallees from Winter 2017 but we still record successful tracks for anyone who is interested in being in the sought after La Tania Escapade Hall of Fame<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
