2am Saturday Morning Snow

2am Saturday morning and snowing quite heavily. Forecast is not for much snow but coming down hard right now. High Winds once again this afternoon and some top lifts closed again, runs down in to Meribel stripped of snow on the way down to the Ronnie tonight but will recover when the bashers get out. All in all the piste skiing is still spot on, for the best day out get the groomed run list first thing and go hard…

Fantastic Piste Skiing

The old school hit a freshly groomed Jockeys first thing this morning. Then followed by more groomed blacks, Suisse, Creux, Chanrossa and then a blast down to 1650 for some of Katie’s Big Baps for lunch at La Boulotte. Another great day in the mountains. . .

The Meribel Live Festival – Ssssssshhhhh

Still a secret, but you never know what’s coming over the hill, up the junction, along the picadilly line or via helicopter round here….

UPDATE 17 Feb 2009: The Feeling have had to cancel. More on the site when we hear.

Sweet Home La Tania

The Perfect Day? The sun comes after the storm… More snow tomorrow though!

Snow Snow Snow!

There’s snow right down to Bozel at the bottom of the valley and up to 40cm reported on the summits so far (by the lift company as all the top lifts are currently closed). More snow due later this afternoon and tonight with temperatures staying well below zero. Hopefully a break in the weather tomorrow but avalanche clearance work will mean delayed lift openings and closures tomorrow. Avalanche risks at least 4 out of 5 so avoid any serious off piste for the moment – those in the know will be tackling Jockeys first lift tomorrow…. You know who you are….

Heavy snow fall now, set to continue tonight & tomorrow. Could be transfer hell tomorrow…. But then freshies on Sunday! More snow Monday…
