Snowing – White Out at top of Saulire
After a first week of the La Tania lifts being open we’ve had a great week with loads of fresh tracks last weekend high up, especially above 1650 where there was some great snow.
Lower pistes were a mass of snow cannon mounds as they prepare to open most runs by Sunday. Later in the day the resort level runs becoming harder with some icy spots – nothing unusual in that for December mind. Sub minus 10 temperatures too and by late afternoon there was hardly anyone about skiing although Val Thorens was noticably more busy than the Meribel and Courchevel Valleys.
Good news is that it’s snowing once again today and La Tania locals Gaz & Kurt have just come down the terrifying Telepherique run off Saulire (under the cable car) – unbelievable to think this was marked as a piste in the 90’s or am I getting soft? Piste M and Combe Des Pylons were also freshly grromed with fresh cnow on top – perfect and no on else about.
They report 15cm of fresh up there, looks like some more on the way just in time for Christmas…

We hear Ben from La Taiga was first to nail La Telepherique underneath the
cable car on Saulire – unbelievable to think that this used to be a marked
run on the piste maps in the 90’s. Also Ed from Ski Higher was first down
Equinox this season – go hard boys…

am being back in the velly cold land of our adopted motherland La Tania . It is velly pleasing to be back with my friends of the snow . I have bean not here fo r long time and pleesed to be returning wiith many hot tips .
