Review: We had a brilliant stay at Chalet Juba over New Year 2012. A group of us took over the entire chalet for our 9th stay with Nick and Joey and all felt that we were looked after even better than ever. Nick made a supreme effort on New Year's Eve - 5 courses of dinner plus champagne at midnight and we had a brilliant evening. The chalet is always spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming and the ability to ski in ski out makes it a perfect choice - hence why we keep on going back.
The snow conditions too were perfect. Plenty of snow before our arrival and then a few inches top up during the week meant that the pistes were wonderful. Nick and Joey are also mindful of getting you up in time for breakfast and then hitting first lift so that we were able to get first tracks down Lac Bleu most of the days of our holiday - a fabulous feeling! All in all if you like seriously good food, wine and skiing then Chalet Juba is the place to stay!

Review: We have just returned from a family holiday in La Tania, staying in Chalet Juba with NICKSKI. What a fantastic time we had! It is a great place for anyone, be they a group of adults or a family with teenagers like us. The communuication with Nick before our arrival was great. The support and advice started the moment I booked, which gave me a good feeling about the forthcoming trip. I was not disappointed. After an overnight trip on Eurostar we were able to leave our bags in the chalet boot room and take ourselves off to the slopes until the chalet was ready. The chalet itself is very clean and tidy. It is warmed by the lovely log burner, which was welcome after -17 degrees on the slopes. The beds are comfy and there is always hot water. Joey and Nick are excellent hosts. Rather than having booked a holiday in their chalet it felt like thay had invited us to stay with them in their home. The food was great. Joey obviously enjoys cooking and provided tasty and plentiful home cooked dishes. Joey catered for us vegetarians very well too, appearing to enjoy the chance to try out different ideas and dishes. The puddings need a special mention. Particularly the tarte tatin and the apple crumble with creme ecosse!!! Each night offers a different choice of wine. All of which were excellent. The chalet is situated away from the main centre of La Tania and it is possible to ski back. Nick and Joey are obviously passionate about skiing and really want you to make the best of the fantastic skiing available. Advice is always on hand and Nick's ski tours were very enjoyable. Overall I would not wish for anything else. I think we have found our ski home and look forward to visiting again and again.

Review: We have just returned from an outstanding trip to La Tania which was certainly made special by our hosts, Nick and Joey. The accommodation was warm and welcoming, with a beautiful log burner to take the chill off the cold of the slopes. Joey and Nick prepared fantastic three course meals for us in the evenings, as well as a full and tasty breakfast. In addition, the afternoon tea and cakes was just what we needed after a day on the slopes! Both hosts are clearly passionate about La Tania and the skiing experience that is available and they do their utmost to make your stay as full and enjoyable as possible. Nick will take guests out for an exciting day of skiing where he tours the area. La Tania itself is a beautiful location, with tree-lined pistes and a relaxed centre. In addition, you can take the lifts to Courcheval, Meribel and Val Thorens, making La Tania the ideal base for your skiing holiday. I will definitely return to Chalaet Juba if the opportunity arises.

Review: Stayed with Nick and Joey, the top team at Chalet Juba.
Great pre-holiday service: all e-mails answered promptly, knowledgably and accurately.
Did the overnight Eurostar & Alti-bus thing both ways and got 8 of the best days skiing ever. Very helpful in getting us on our way early on the first day and very accommodating on the last afternoon too.
Great scoff (cakes, veggie, roasts - everything), pots of tea made on sight, endless hot showers & baths, different wine every night, help finding stuff, help repairing stuff, help getting around, comfy bedrooms, massive boot room and best of all was Nick's knowledge of the three valleys.
Many thanks to both of you.

Review: I stayed at Chalet Juba towards the end of Feb 2011. This is a half board type accommodation and is ideal for any stay in the Three Valleys. The accommodation is very clean and tidy, and totally set up for any ski holiday (heated boot/ski room, communal area and separate en-suite bedrooms). The food is cooked fresh daily by the Chalet owners (Nick and Joey) and is of excellent quality, especially the evening dinner/supper. Plus there is always a selection of wines included for you to sample with dinner/supper.
The accommodation is based in La Tania. It is a short 20 metres walk to a gentle ski track that takes you down to the La Tania ski lift. The La Tania lift is an easy access to the rest of the lifts across the Three valleys. You can also ski back to the Chalet at the end of the day from the higher slopes and the run down is easy enough for any type of skier.
The highlight of the week was the two guided tours (Tuesday and Friday) by the Chalet Owners. Nick & Joey have excellent knowledge of the area and can very quickly get you to the best slopes in the area (and you can be the first onto the slopes after they have been pisted the night before).
Hope you also enjoy your time skiing in the 3 valleys.

Review: Just returned from yet another wonderful holiday at Chalet Juba. Despite the snow not being of the best Nick's encyclopaedic knowledge of the 3 valleys meant finding the best snow whether he was advising us or taking us out on his fantastic guided tours. However it was the hospitality that made the holiday for us. From Joey's excellent baking, particularly the flapjack, to the carefully chosen wines which complimented the delicious home cooked meals it was a delight to ski home to. The company and chat around the table combined with Nick and Joey's understated professionalism creates a chalet holiday that cannot be beaten. We will definitely be back. Thanks again

The accomodation is very comfortable, fully functioning and spotless.
Afternoon cakes are spectacular! Dinner is imaginative, healthy, tasty & plentiful and is accompanied by well matched, quality wine.
The owners remain absolutely passionate about skiing, the magical playground outside and the breathtaking scenery of the 3 valleys.
The enthusiasm of the owners is infectious.....even helping sleep deprived teenagers and Dads with hangovers to get up in the morning!
If you like quality skiing and want to stay with excxeptional hosts, then look no further. We've already booked for a 3rd year!

Access to the slopes from La Tania is probably the best in the 3 Valleys and I have never been unable to ski back to the chalet door. If you like good friendly company, terrific food (especially for vegetarians), comfortable accommodation, unlimited good quality wine (chosen by the owners) and the most amazing hosts, you just can't get better than this. The accommodation at Chalet Juba is always maintained at a high standard with clean bright rooms and open plan living space. The owners who live and run the business pride themselves in the fabulous food and fine wine, and the chalet is always warm and cosy! Review: Excellent week holiday with very friendly hosts, Nick and Joey. Week started well with flying from Bournmouth with Easy Jet to Geneva. Collected car hire organised via pricematchcarhire from this web site. Excellent car a 406SW with 400KM on the clock. Stayed at Nick Ski in chalet Juba. Excellent clean accommodation with good wholesome tasty food, as much as you could eat with excellent home picked wine that would look good on any dinner table. Booked ski and boot hire from Ski Higher also from this web site. Excellent door to door service, the only complaint I have is that I had the premier ski and they were blunt. With a small group of 4 of us of mixed skiing/snow boarding abilities we found La Tania and Courchevel the best areas to ski. The weather was a bit too hot for the snow and it showed towards the end of the week with a great deal of icy and bare patches appearing. On the last day we hired a few sledges and did the luge run which was great fun in Courchevel 1850. It is a lot steeper and hair pin bends that it looks from the lifts! All in all we had a great time and would recommend all the companies we used and thanks to www.latania.co.uk for all there hard work.

Review: Well,
where do I start?
I was just one of 14 boarders staying at Chalet Juba during the 2nd week of February. The majority of the group had decided to drive - to gain an extra day on the slopes, with the last two chaps catching the snow train from Waterloo Via Paris & Moutiers (gaining an extra 2 days over the usual 6 days when flying)
We had our first day (Saturday) on the piste -an excellent day due to being very quiet on the slopes - then mid afternoon rode down to the very back door of the chalet - only to be greated by Nick who had been out him self (probably covering all of the 3V in a morning!!!) We were able to ride out of the back door or a very short (10-15m) walk to the 'green' to ride on into town and on down to the gondola - an excellent location - simply excellent.
The chalet is, what can only be described as perfect, a true home from home. In fact better than being that, is was a heaven from home! Once we were all changed from the slopes, fresh cakes, tea and coffee were waiting for our hungry bunch of boarders - and boy didn't it disappear quickly! - this was the same on all days - different cakes, awaiting for the tired 14 souls that returned back to the heavly abode that is Chalet Juba
Nick & Joey were great - really welcoming, funny and extremley knowledgeable on the 3V area - we were able to get advise on which runs were going to be best each day - Nick took us out on two days - and for those that lasted! - a great day and many a mile was added to some quite already tired legs!
Evening meals were exquisite, with different wines to accompany the meal each night, we were not going to go hungry or thirsty - that was for sure!
Breakfast was ready each morning so we could re fuel before hitting the slopes again.
The boot room allowed us to have nice dry boots every day rather than the semi dry of previous years! again - hard to put a price on this luxury.
The only thing we would have changed was to have a tad more snow - but hey - at least everything else was perfect:-)
We will definitely be returning to Juba in the future - there is simply nothing to fault with the chalet, Nick and Joey's attention to detail with everything from the food to the advise and the humour at the table in the evenings!!!!!!!!!!!!
We departed saturday morning and 18 hours & 850 miles later - we were home - knackered - but home in one piece!!!
So cheers Nick & Joey - you really helped make this the best holiday ever
See you in the (I hope not to distant) future
Jon

Review: This was our first trip to La Tania and it proved a great ski location for us. Chalet Juba is a very comfortable chalet in a prime position allowing you to ski to and from the door. Joey is an excellent hostess and she provides first rate meals. Nick is a complete ski enthusiast serving up enjoyable wines.
We arrived midst doom and gloom snow reports and yet had good skiing from the start of our holiday culminating in champagne powder over the last two or three days after a serious snowfall half way through the week. We also enjoyed our first family earthquake a small 2.9 on the richter scale but a great story for the children's return to school.
La Tania offered easy access to the skiing at Mirabel and Courchevel even for intermediate skiers.
Overall a great holiday.

I spoke to Nick on the phone and he was very friendly and enthusiastic. Nick owns and runs the chalet with his partner Joey (very friendly helpful lady).
All I can say is that I'm glad we missed the Snowline chalet. We had the best week ever at Chalet Juba. The chalet location is superb. In the morning you only have to walk a couple of minutes before you can strap on your skis/board/blades and pop out onto the red slope down to the main gondola. In the evening you can literally ski back to the chalet door.
Once back, there was always delicious fresh cakes and tea and coffee. Loads of hot water to soothe the aching muscles and then excellent food and wine in the evening. After dinner just relax with a coffee in front of the fire. A perfect experience.
The week we went the snow was excellent after a dump of about a metre of snow in the first couple of days. It did go very cold (-18 outside the chalet!) but it didn't matter, we had some of the best skiing we've ever had.
Thanks Nick & Joey, we will be back in the future!

Review: Long time since we skied in France, having been to Austria and Italy for several years A change of scene was called for.......no more 4 star hotels. Let's try a chalet again? What a difference a few years makes. Wow! Pictuesque alpine looking wooden chalets, set amongst trees, in a quiet part of the mountain. Ours, Chalet Juba, seemed brand new. Everthing clean, fresh, sparkling. Warmly decorated, cosy, imaginative recipies with pleanty of great food and lots of good wine, (definitely not cheap plonk). A great welcome and genuine interest was exuded by our hosts Nick and Joey to help make our stay everything we wanted.
We skied, virtually to and from, the front door every day. The nearest lift to get up the mountain was only minutes away. An enormous choice of pistes, big wide blue cruisers, rattling good red runs and mean black runs will cater for every level of ability. It's high too, so you are assured of good snow. Nick, (of NICK SKI), knows the mountain so well and will guide you to some magic places!
Finally, the really good news - it wasn't expensive! Which was what had driven us away from France all those years ago.........We'll definitely go back again!
