And more fresh snow this morning…. #EndlessWinter

No one left to clear the Bouc Blanc terrace this morning as Winter returns once more. A sprinkling of snow lower down on the Troika run as we head in to the second half of May 2012.

Last bits of snow about to melt on Troika, Bouc Blanc holding out…

Just about the middle of May and the last bits of snow about to go on Troika although lots of snow on Folyeres sheltered by the trees and the Bouc Blanc holding out well too. Really shows that aspect is as important (or more) than altitude when choosing a late or early season ski resort.

Mountain bikes still need snow tyres.

Beginning May and you could still ski most of the blue run. MTBs are not perfect for spring snow.

Andrea going hard in Val Thorens today

Andrea from Snow Retreat hooning down Goulet piste this morning in Val Thorens. It was snowing and sunny in intervals today and great piste conditions all the way in to town, getting slushy as you entered the learners area. There was about 5 to 8cm of fresh snow at the top in Orelle and the pistes were mainly empty. Our final ski of the season ! Hairy Phil www.snowretreat.co.uk
