The Bandit wins 3rd leg!!!

Posted on Mon 23 Jun 2008 at 10:58pm

From the Race Site: “A crew of Watford based taxi drivers who were considered rank outsiders when they entered the race are now contenders for their class prize in the 2008 Round Britain Race. The performance of skipper Barry Deakin on the opening leg between Portsmouth and Plymouth on Saturday confounded the pundits but this was no fluke. After having to transport their boat overland to Milford Haven when high seas forced the second leg to be abandoned, they repeated the performance on Monday by using navigational tactics. Despite choosing the longer course off the Irish coast between Milford Haven and Bangor NI in an attempt to seek shelter from a strong South Westerly wind, it was a gamble that paid off and they hit the finish in tenth place overall to collect first prize in the RB2 class. ” – Go Hard Boys!

George (Ex Shibboleth) with CZJ

Posted on Tue 10 Jun 2008 at 3:53pm

Searching for some La Tania related material and then you find this….

George Hutchison who used to play in Shibboleth – who’ve played Winter seasons in La Tania forever – in a music video hugging Catherine Zeta Jones. What’s all that about then eh?

Think George is now back with the excellent (and by far the best) Abba tribute band Bjorn Again and gigging with them once more – they’ve some summer shows lined up in the UK and it’s a great night out – 70’s dressing up obligatory of course. No news on what Shibboleth will be up to next season though – rumours of a different resort entirely maybe. Graham and a few of the lads are still playing around Munich and Colin tour guiding in Scotland I guess… All the Alps Live Music info here
